i ment the dials under the radio but ya cluster ones look cool too i must do mine..
i flick mine on and off, most of the time on but if i just feel like cruising with no jolts i have it off,
i'm sure its made the gears smoother with it off too, i was amazed i even keeped up with a gtst with it, tho they were slowly pulling away

Lol sorry mate, forgot all about those dials..

Those 4 dials are running off the headunit, its got a voltage meter and a temp meter and 2 VU meters that kinda move to the beat, everytime the sub hits the big bass notes the needles for the 2 VU meters move all the way to the right so its pretty fun to watch when you sit at the traffic light with your sounds booming

Only temporary though as i needed something to fill the gap that was there when i installed the woodgrain stereo surround as it was a double din surround. When i find a good double din unit i like it will replace the current unit and dials - although the dials dont look too out of place at all

if your volts meter is going crazy with big bass you should get a capacitor (1 farad should do). it stores voltage and stops your headlights dimming etc when the bass hits. its also good for the engine to because when the bass hits it drags the volts down and when the spark fires from the coil it wont be as strong as it should be and wont be giving a complete burn. a mate had a huge system in his pulsar and if he was giving the car a flogging with the stereo up it would stutter cos it was dragging that much voltage it was messing with the coil packs.

Ha i wish

Its all in mild steel, which for $500 odd is the biggest f**k rip off when you consider the prices people over in Aussie are getting their cat back systems for (around $250-300) but i guess the exchange rate then comes into play so its not too much of a difference anyway, stupid NZ$.

The Rage systems do leave the factory in some sort of matte black paint to prevent rust for a bit. So far the mufflers and the rear section are rust free however the front section up to the first muffler is starting to surface rust :x

To be perfectly honest though, i dont really like the sound/tone of stainless exhausts so im happy with mild steel exhaust

LMAO good old Christchurch weather aye  . You need some of the weather that we've been getting up in Auckland lately, sunny as a mofo up here. Its almost too hot to stand out in the sun lol, im not used to having so much sun after having such a mostly cold and wet year.

You'll probably die when i tell you the price of a 2.5" mandrel bent Coby exhaust system. Hows $700+ sound direct from the manufacturer? Lol, i rang them when i was looking for an exhaust system to go with the Coby headers and they quoted me $740ish before i quickly ended the conversation and hung up. The Coby system is mild steel for the piping with 2 stainless mufflers. Dunno how it sounds but it must be good, cause Coby make some nice sounding exhaust.

As for my speakers, mate im running a pair of el cheapo $40 American HiFi splits i won off Trade Me, up front and $60 Panasonic 3 way in the rear. Im suprised at how clear and crisp everything is. The rear speakers are pretty s**t to be honest, they have real nice crisp highs but the mids are terrible. The front splits are good in both departments but i also put that down to the dynomat treatment the front doors got so there is basically no other vibrations up front. Mate sounds like you would have too much bass in the rear

Maybe look into a decent set of splits up front (alpine type R's or S's) with maybe an extra 6" - 8" woofer custom mounted somewhere in the bottom of the door perhaps? Dunno really, i mean i only have a 250rms 12" JVC sub being fed 200rms via my JVC 2 channel amp so everything is pretty balanced although it does pump hard for what it is
