That Idea with the fans running for 30sec after the car stops isn't a bad idea but theres nothing to circulate the water :( , the davis craig EWP units do that to stop heat soak!

What sort of Radio have you got? Motorola, Icom, Alinco? :)

hey again, I did not like the indicator lights that used to come on with the head lights when your turning, so I've wired them up to a ACC so they are day running lights. I think it looks good with just parkers on and the bottom lights on during the day .....
Yeah, did this one too. Makes perfect sense to me, although the guy who did my last "warrant of fitness" said they weren't meant to be on that circuit, but he'd let me off this time. I have not changed it and am meant for another warrant next week. Ho hum, may go someplace else...!

heheh yeah, you will be driving the best auto you have ever had! :)

Just remember, the power/enco switch, and the loom you have ..... i would be able to work it out for you ...

also, I have 3 different shifters here, one is all clear, P.R.N.D.3.2.1 and the other one is coloured.. from factory ..

i will wire up my speedo corrector sometime this week so shift points remain the same as im running 3.7 diff.

Hey crazy kids,

I know i'm stating the obvious, but just dont forget that Dan you'll need pl;enty of auto fluid, and Laticia you'll need some gear oil

yeah laticia said i'll only need roughly 4L of oil, as she says she can keep most of it in the box?

and ive got just under 2L of castrol transmaxZ in the bottle, so will have to salvage a little of the old oil to top it up as the T5 takes 2.1 litres i think

just spoken to Dan, (fordfairmont) he is really looking forward to this, and so am I!

we sorted out the oil, at least two litres will be in the coolerlines, and and my auto trans cooler takes about 1ltr, I have about 1ltr hear, but cos you two are getting here early, (prob put the auto in dans car first) if we need more oil, we can always (borrow mums car! :) ) and go to repco

Laticia!

I think I've missed something here - but what is it you guys are actually doing? Swapping a manual for an auto and then putting the auto into something else? Or something? Uhm...

That DEXTRON3 oil stuff for auto's seems to be a recommended choice for a T5 according to my documents on the subject. Which is lucky, as I have about 6 litres of it... But still don't have a complete T5 in good enough order to put in (working on it...)

Fiend, Fordfairmont and Laticia are swapping boxes, the manual is going into laticias, and the auto into dan's car. I am running the show. :)

i would hate to say this but you are going to lose your 420nm if you go T5!!
it will drop down to about 350-370, if me i would be keeping the auto with the highstall.
T5's might make alittle more kw's but lose alot of torque.

hmm, why does my car with T5 put 1.5 car lengths on every auto car ive come across by the time ive finished in 2nd gear :)

why does every stock auto eseries run 16's over the 1/4 mile, but a manual EA can run low 15's...

Laticia's car will be alot quicker no doubt.... im only swapping cause i want my car to be a cruiser again & couldnt be f**k changing gears all the time, and so the missus can finally drive my car when im lazy (or drunk) :P
