Bought for $1200.
Judging by the horse crap under the car and the lucerne in the boot she towed Phar Lap by the last owner (female)

It has:
.Pedders springs and shocks (air in the rear)
.Extractors and a 2 1/2 sports exhaust
.Slotted and Drilled fronts
.244k on the clock (engine smoothe, no smoke, well serviced)
.4 speed Auto (perfect changes when at normal operating temp)

So Far:
.Got rid of the 17" mags and put 16" Ford XR6 Sharktooth rims and new rubber
.Full brakes system overhaul
.Steering rack, ball joints and rear nolethane
.That's $1700 on the above work

To Do:
.Bumpers, the previous horse lovin owner seems to have used the front bumper for rounding up!
.Rust in sills and drivers side front guard
.Small weep in sump from a rock strike
.Sort oil leaks and major undercar clean up (see pic from leak and shagged steering rack)

NC Likes:
.Comfort and LWB
.Kickdown from the 4speed auto (she's resposive)
.The V8

NC Dislikes:
.Mainly the cost of restoration (worth it tho when she's rumbling with AC/DC or The Doors playing on the open road)
.Small annoying repairs from wipers to exhaust (it's a huge job and takes many, many Sundays)

Overall Rating:
Pretty happy with the NC Fairlane!
It's a stylish cruiser with a good V8 driveline for Fordmodders who can do without hooning inpounds and Wolloper donations (It will light em up if required tho!)

Looks like a good project base man, and I'm rather surprised to see that rust in the sill!

I have a little bit in the sill on the white Xr8 i need to deal with, nowhere near as much as this, and i have some in the top of the sill due to a piss poor repair on my side skirt by a panel shop who has to remain nameless, to keep the mods happy, but i name & shame them whenever anyone asks me in real life.....

Cheers

Very nice :)

Going to lower it a bit more?

Port up a pic of the interior? Got leather?

From the pics, looking at the head rests, they don't look like leather, which is a shame, as a nice luxury car like a lane should have leather. :D I have full leather in my Eb Ghia, and i have the part leather & velour seats that might end up in my Xr8, they are nice too, but not as nice as the full leather seats.

Cheers

Ah yeah, on a closer look at that pic is does look more like velour. My DA's had velour though, very comfy, and looks old school posh :D

Was it you that was caught riding that bike?

Velour is a bit old school posh, sort of like a 70's lane or statesman.

Cheers
