As BenJ said......about bloody time :P
OK, let's tackle your first question. Get yourself some bluetack and play around with the position of your badges. That way you can shoot of a few pic's and put them up to be judged. Not sure where you're going with fitting cobra badges to an LTD, but hey, if it looks OK and you like it then it doesn't really matter what we all think eh! I personally will eventually be going the opposite way and completely debadging the Lane for a smoother look, not that there are many to remove
Looking forward to seeing some more pics, and following your progress.....c'mon, get cracking mate!
Cheers,
Mick

Haha, here come some First ones, i need to get out there and start using my cam! This is how i bought her 2 years ago, found it on the internet in the north island, place called napier, the guy who owned it just used her 4 times a year to tow his MX5 race car around (the mx5 had a 289 muzzy engine in it) It cost me $1200 to get it trucked down from up north, but hey, for an LTD, why not! and this is the ONLY one i have ever seen for sale in NZ, there has been the odd NA and NC's here and there, and plenty of DF/L's, but i have never spotted another DC V8 anywhere, be it on the road or on Trademe (NZ's version of eBay) but i am sure they are out there.

What sort of parts you got left? Going cheap? I need some goodies....

Anyways, here are some pic's, she's up on stilts now, Auto is out, flywheel/clutch is all bolted up, just got to wait for the weather to clear and dad to bolt the box up. Then i can get started on the Explorer manifolds, exhaust etc. Also there is my new gear boot and steering wheel with matching knob. And yes before someone like Mick says it, YES My wing mirror IS falling off lol

I asked this in another thread, but still confused, T5 only has the reverse sender plug plus the speedo sender, the Manual loom i have has 3 plugs, (speedo, reverse, neutral)

the plugs closest to the speedo plug on the loom are for reverse, correct? And how the hell do i connect the neutral wires up if there is no neutral sender!!

I just swapped my old AU V8 flywheel/used clutch + AU XR8 ECU (auto) for another DC LTD dash, the whole thing, loom, cluster, trip meter/clock, climate, abs ecu etc etc, Thats coming my way next week. I have also bought an DL LTD cluster that i am going to have re-coded with my current k's (as the DL has 406k on it!) Can i swap the V8 tach from my DC cluster into the back of the DL cluster? And what else will i need to make it work? I know i will have to make up some brackets etc. I wont need to connect the auto gear display as i'm manual, but what else do i need to play around with? I will have both looms at my disposal, DL dash, plus DC dash. Who was it that did this conversion??? link anyone?

Re the auto gear display, you will need to cover it up with some black electrical tape, or similar.

That is what i have done.

Ah ha, so it is you did it, i spent ages looking through your thread but couldn't find it. How did you wire it up? If i don't need the auto selector wired up, can i just plug it in?

What loom are you using?

The DL Cluster is not a plug and play at all with the NC/DC loom.

You will need to build a complete custom built adapter loom to make it work. Does you car have the digital dash originally?

Also, I may have missed this, but what ECU are you using. For the cluster to work, you will need to be running an EL type ECU, which will have the DATA line output to the cluster.
