Hey, you stole my twin horn idea! Meh, it's not like I wasn't copying Ben's wagon lol.

See told you the EF washer bottle fits.

Looking good, man.

Cheers Ben, appreciate all the help and wise words!

Well, car won't see paint til end of the year :(
A few different reasons ranging from the weather to other things taking priority right now such as the brakes and gearbox...
Talking to my mate, he reckons the paint will settle quicker/better in the warmer months so I'll hold out til then as its not a priority right now!

I've just ordered some RDA slotted rotors and QFM HPX pads from GSL RaceBrakes so they should turn up shortly!
I just need to source a reco brake master cylinder as mines still leaking then if I get time I'll knock it all over one weekend or take it to my mates over at pedders to do if things get a bit hectic...

Next the auto will be serviced as it sometimes doesn't hold gears if changing down manually and is well over due for a service!

With tax money a new radiator will be purchased as the one that's in it is filled with bird feathers and the cars getting a bit hotter then usual which tends to worry me especially because summers on the way!

I'll leave the list at that for the moment, I won't get to carried away as I often do

Cheers, Luke

Luke, re the auto, you might just need to change the inhibitor switch on the passenger side of the gearbox.

They are know to fail and not holding gears when manually selecting them is one of the symptoms.

Cheers

I did do a bit of searching on the forum today in my boredom at work and that did get mentioned a lot in regards to not holding gears!

Will read the workshop manual in regards to replacing this!

Thanks, Luke

Easy to replace.

Two 8mm bolts, and unplug the wires.

Cheers

Thanks again guys, it only does it on the odd occasion so I'll probably just book it in for a service and if it does it again replace it myself as they're quite pricey on egay...

Well, wishing won't make it happen. Cash is always a problem, so collecting parts over time can help the overdraft.

Bit of an overdue update, had a lot of time off work last week as it was fairly quiet so I decided to do a few things to the ol girl...

Found some number plate covers lying around so I decided to chuck them on and see what they looked like:

Image

Image

Also repainted the tow bar (which can't really be seen in the above pic) and added a tow ball cover...

I bought a roll of LED's a while ago and fitted them to the boot..

Image

Don't have any night time pictures yet but it lights the boot up in a weirdly bright way!

I've also received new slotted RDA discs and QFM HPX pads, just need to buy a bearing kit (Should I buy a particular brand?) and a new master cylinder then I'll get them all fitted in one go.

Changed the oil and cleaned out the throttle body & air filter. I added some Pro-Ma MBL8 oil additive which uniacidz recently tried on his car and I'm pleased to say along with cleaning everything else the car is so much smoother to drive and the crappy idle it developed a few weeks ago is gone!
I did almost 200km mixed driving on Saturday (I wasn't nice to it either) and I enjoyed every second of it 8-)

Should get my tax back in the next few weeks so it'll be going in to get the auto serviced and I'm on the lookout for some new wheels as I'm kinda over 15's...
Also want a dump tip for the exhaust!

Anyway back to uni work

Cheers, Luke

That camera really makes the car look awesome.

I like the led mod. Boot is a bit dark at night.

^ Yeh the LEDS are great.

I remember chucking stuff in the boot down at Coles in Oatley and the parking station is fairly dark and woman next to me was also putting stuff in her trunk and i saw her looking at mine being as it was like daylight coming out of it.

I am also thinking of putting some under the bonnet and using a auto switch to turn em on every time bonnet opens.

Alas though, i bought the non waterproof ones.

Hahaha thats exactly what my gf said when she was putting her stuff in the boot!
She was like 'why is your boot so bright now  '

They were a spontaneous buy I just saw them advertised and bought them...
I just made sure they were waterproof as e-series boots tend to leak when they want too

Having LEDs under the bonnet would be awesome!
It'd be semi-ricer but practical at night I suppose...

Lol yeah it makes the paint on the bonnet look good 8-)
I think it was worthwhile, I'll go take some pictures now seeing as though I'm not doing anything...
