Yeah its awesome haha, I can actually see stuff inside my boot now without cracking out the light on my iphone...

Radiator got replaced today along with a full flush and coolant change. I was going to attempt it myself but for $286 I figured I'd just let Natrad do it...
The old radiator was an el-cheapo that had only lasted as long as it did due to the car not getting overly hot (runs no thermostat)
I haven't taken it for a drive yet as dad picked it up for me but will go out soon and test it out!

Nothing to report at the moment but I'm just slowly collecting a few parts when I can afford it...

On monday I purchased a new genuine ford overflow bottle as mine has turned to s**t, I'd been saving for this for a while but yesterday I could smell coolant so popped the bonnet and saw the overflow bottle weeping ever so slightly
Somehow I predicted the future
Anyway that should hopefully arrive next week!

Next week I'm going to purchase a radiator hose kit from Western Filters and fit them along with the new overflow bottle in one go. They're mackay hoses if somebody can confirm whether these are any good?

Just purchased a reco master cylinder and bearing kit to go with the discs and pads I have and will drop it off at pedders in the next two weeks to get them to do everything as time is minimal for me at the moment

Quick question, do braided brake lines make a noticeable difference in braking?
My current ones aren't cracked however are the originals so I was thinking it would be a good excuse to upgrade to braided lines if its worthwhile...
I found some on ebay for $189 from safebrakes if thats a good price?

Radiator change isn't that difficult. You just have to man up and do it lol. I thought that a timing belt was going to be complicated. It isn't lol.

Mackay rubber hoses are OEM suppliers I think. So they are very good.

Haha I know, It looks pretty straight forward; just in between uni and work lifes pretty hectic

New overflow bottle arrived and picked up radiator hoses from Western Filters yesterday!
(free plug for them, they were very helpful despite me rocking up at 4:45pm lol)
A bit spontaneous, but I also just bought some braided brake lines haha
I need to make a few more inquiries about the master cylinder then it'll be game on getting my stockpile of parts fitted!

If I find the time tomorrow I'll fit up the new hoses and header tank and do a reverse flush to try and get more crap out!

Master cylinder still needs to be bought, will do that tomorrow then might book it in to get all the brake components fitted next week hopefully and pending cost might get the auto serviced if I have enough moneyz...

Well I'm pleased to say I successfully replaced all the old radiator and heater hoses on saturday morning
No pictures of anything unfortunately as I was rushed for time but there isn't much to see I guess...
The hardest part was removing them as a few looked to be the originals
I also removed the battery and cleaned underneath it while I was at it (made it easier to access the lower rad to engine hose anyway) and although I wasn't surprised, I discovered a small portion of it has rusted out
Anyway I cleaned it all up, sanded it back, laid some fish oil down and sprayed it black to hopefully 'limit' it from rusting away any further...
Oh and the brand new header tank is so new, the coolant actually looks clean lol!
I might degrease the engine bay this weekend and take some pics.

Pending the brake boosters arrival, all the brake components will hopefully be fitted late this week...

So this has been a bit neglected lately...
I hadn't washed it for about a month so I gave it a bit of a wash this arvo to get rid of some bird s**t!
I've been thrashing it a lot too and it seems to love it, the auto hates life atm though lol
Hopefully things settle a bit with work and uni and my bank account is replenished in the next few weeks and I can show it some love!
That manual conversion in the for sale thread is extra tempting...

Haha, I haven't washed mine since AFD. It's looking a bit Bluesmobile at the moment.

Merely an update, got bored on Saturday and gave the engine bay a clean with degreaser...
Then I took some pics haha





Brakes are getting done Friday and all going well will give it an oil change Saturday in preparation for the cruise on Sunday

^^There was lots of circle work anger relief had on that grass by me because of the screwed cat convertor and ABS f**k up (the slushbox probably wouldn't be able to do real donuts)






A great day was had, especially as I don't usually get to drive the car like I was able to today!
It drove fairly well, although my ABS is playing funny buggers and only working when it wants to after getting the brakes done so that issue will have to be resolved this week.
The cat is stuffed.
It's literally less than a year old and the heat shielding stuff has come off on the top causing two small holes in it which I'm not happy about
I'm pretty sure thats why the car felt a bit gutless today...
Also the auto needs a service and my engine mounts are on there way out
I'm trying to spend as little as possible on this lol...

I had cat problems too. The dog bailed one up under the house before we left and barked at it non-stop until we got home!

Hahaha I heard about that a few times throughout the day, was the dog all good at least?
