Fiddlers good the first few times you go (especially when you just turn 18 and you're with heaps of mates) but as Ev said it's just the same old thing every Friday night if you go week after week...
Unfortunately I'm already over going out and spending wads of cash lol, go out on occasion for a birthday or something but not every week!
And I know how you feel about things popping up, admittedly i've only ever been to liverpool twice :P
Was good though!

Haha, I've been there three times I think. All three times to grab parts. But its good to gas-bag about s**t for hours on end.

Once I remember SWC talking about eating possum and pigeon.
Hmm...
Quite the ucked up conversion. Haha

Autos started clunking from 1st to 2nd when in power mode so will try and get it serviced hopefully in the next two weeks!
It doesn't do it all the time but it did it about 2 or 3 times this arvo...
Hope it doesn't cost too much to fix

Auto's are easy to service man,
just drop the oil, replace it with new oil and then change the pan gasket.
I think that's it...

That's correct, but you only change about a third of the oil. Hopefully a service will fix it. If it's not that it could be an S5 solenoid or inhibitor switch. I have a spare auto in my shed

Why is it only a third?

Yeah I'm thinking it might be the S5 or something after a bit of reading, it's due for a service anyway I've just been trying to hold off!
Oh well, if it's going to cost lots I'll convert it to manual
When I find money...
All good REW93N :D

Because the torque converter is about half full of oil when the engine is off. So when you do a pan change, you really only change approx 3.8L of fluid (source: Gregorys Service manual No. 262 pg. 134). The dry capacity of the transmission is about 10L.

Minor update, FINALLY changed the diff oil today!!
Although the filler bolt was a struggle, as recommended I bought the right sized socket and with a bit of a struggle it came loose

Anyway the old oil was black as and very thick and sludgy which is what I expected!
Never the less I filled it up with just under 1.7L of castrol LSX-90 I think it was which was also a little hard to pour in but I managed :D
(I read somewhere on here that they take approximately 1.65L or something so I just filled it up until it ran out of the filler hole which equated to under 1.7L anyway..)

Only took it for a short squirt and it seems to be a bit tighter...
Will confirm on the drive to/from work tomorrow or if I have to go for a drive tonight

It feels really good to do some semi-major servicing to the car yourself knowing you've saved yourself a bit of money

Cheers, Luke

Replaced the leads with supercheap specials yesterday!
Think I mixed them up as no. 5 lead is a bit too short and no. 3 or 4 is way too long but I cbf taking them all off so meh...

I'm currently on the lookout for a good condition front bumper as I'd like to get the damage fixed and front bumper/bonnet/roof resprayed in the next month as well as a bootlip spoiler fitted but no promises lol

Got bored with doing uni work yesterday and having a bye in soccer led to extra boredom...
So I took the spoiler off the boot

Image

Image

Looks twenty times better to me!!
Will looks even better with a boot lip spoiler which I'll be purchasing this week from fibresports if no bills come up
I also fixed the wiring so the brake light in the back window works again and cut the spoiler wire and got rid of it all :)
However, the spoiler is back on due to these:

Image

There are six rather large holes and with Sydney's unpredictable weather, I'd rather not cop a boot full of water!
I'd rather a straight boot lid then one with holes in it so I'm still trying to source a bootlid and a front bumper so I can get this thing fixed!
Does anybody know whether somebody stocks NOS front bumpers?

Anywho, cars going extremely well with all the driving I've been doing!
Cruised around last Saturday with a few mates clocking up around 200kms in the one night and the Friday just past went fishing down south clocking up another 200kms...
The old girl loved it
