Shouldn't be more than 250-300 mark as a ball park price

Hes dropped the price again!

Was for sale a few months ago for $4800 then this bloke must've bought it.

It looks very clean so its tempting but I dunno if I'd waste money on another EB :/

Would rather an EL XR or move on from e series altogether...

AUs just do everything better without spending copious amounts of money :(

yer he offered it to me for $3500 a couple of weeks ago. :)

AU's my style as well! :) Really want one of those. Theres quite a bit of price difference between BA's as well and yet I would be hesitant to get a BA (due to the quality issues they had).

Interesting how most Au fairmont ghias are going for between $4000-5000.

I was told $150. Its a family members partners cousin. He does car interior stuff plus window tint for a company but does it out of his shed on weekends for the extra coin. Ive seen 2 "backyard"jobs by him and I cant fault it so far. But ill have to look further into the price

If you buy something else in my opinion move on from E series altogether.
As nice as they are E series XR's are just a nightmare to get parts for now.
That's one of the reasons Donna got rid of hers , and we had a good stockpile of XR parts here.
The slightest tap in the front and they are a writeoff.
If they ever make repro gear and decent brakes for them I would probably have another one.
Until that day. Not a chance.

Don't pass up a BA II just because of what you've heard. My Turtle has been a dream. OK, it's not heavily worked, turbo'd or a V8 (is that a lot of disclaimers????? :? ) but for a bog stocker it sure as hell scared the pants out of many cars in it's time!

$150 is a bargain price imho for tint on a sedan!

My mate paid $200 to get his VE done in 10% and that was through a friend of a friend.

I've got the contacts to get it done just have better things to spend my spare money on atm lol...

Cash jobs are fine, they just don't warrant it I don't think?

Too true Matt, Dad said the exact same thing to me when I was looking at upgrading at the start of the year.

Also AU+ cars brake, steer and go just as well if not better then a slightly modified e series in stock form.

I'd really love a manual AUIII XR6ST or 220kw XR8 if I was to upgrade..

I might drive this until I can put it on club rego then retire it lol...

Yep they're mint, thats exactly what I want haha!
You should buy it, they're pretty rare to my understanding and stand out heaps.
Also good bang for buck imo.

Been eyeing out this though:
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/deta ... =8&sdmvc=1
(bit overpriced)

There was a decent ST in NSW but its sold I think :(

As I said, only dreams at this stage haha!

Yeah I'd like to buy it however he's wanting around the 9k. Dreams for me as well :) However still tossing up whether I want a ute or sedan.
I'm 3.5 hours from Sydney. Not that hard to get out here tho. we go to sydney quite often

I've seen that AU advertised on the forums as well. It's weird how he's only owned it for three months, spent 5600 then selling it again. Would be good to check it out anyhow. As long as u did all the history checks and stuff.
