Oh noes!
That sucks. Unfortunately, with cars, what looks like a little bit of damage on the outside, can turn out to be a lot on the inside. I hope it's just a minor scuff.

Wasn't a large impact so I'm hoping everything underneaths all good but also expecting the worst Cheers, Luke

Luke.
Knowing what lies underneath those areas, I believe it will be OK and only the bolt ons will be effected. Cheers BenJ

Cheers BenJ Thanks BenJ, appreciate the reassurance It needs a wheel alignment anyway as a result so I thought I'd get them to give it a good once over just in case. Cheers, Luke

yeah seeing as it wasnt a big hit, maybe a steering component and a wheel alignment as far as the mechanical side of things, still a bit of a pita for you when it goes in to get fixed if you need the car, but shouldnt take long to fix that minor damage anyway,

As most of you had said it was all good underneath, alignment was a tad out as expected and they replaced the tie rod ends as they were both fairly worn.
This has now fixed the ever so minor play the steering wheel once had and it now turns in with a lot more confidence Damn I want coilovers for the front though... Got an estimate from a panel shop today and he reckons about $1200... This include replacement guard, headlight, indicator, match bonnet and door and obviously paint for the guard. This does seem like a lot but I just need something In writing so the bloke can pay up and I'll be able to collect parts myself hopefully a lot cheaper Anyway this weeks going to be pretty busy running around to random places getting quotes so if anybody can recommend a local smash repairer I'd be more then happy to give em a go Unfortunately my mind won't be at ease until the money's in my hands but eh, hopefully that'll be soon! Cheers, Luke

If It was some slapper daily that I didn't give a s**t about I'd probably agree to like $800 cash because there's really only very minimal damage, but because I actually care about it I want it fixed properly! And also the inconvenience of not having the car for a week The positive side of it is I get my bonnet resprayed and will get the roof sorted while its in the panel shop too so But will take it one step at a time first...

in your case, by the looks of it you only need a blinker, headlight? and guard?? and maybe a bumper?
all up parts shouldnt be more than $200.. generally painters charge on average $200 per panel.. but priced do vary from shop to shop... |

Small update, gotten a few quotes to fix the damage ranging from 1200-2000 lol
Anyway had a chat to my uncle who recommended a mate of his who's done good work on his cars before and he quoted me $800 so going by his work and not so much pricing I will be going with him! Will be getting bonnet, roof and boot resprayed too which I'm hanging out for! Today I met up with DC_Todd (Dave) who kindly gave me two head lights, two clear indicators and a front passenger scuff plate for $15 Cheers again Dave! So there's no more "100 mph" tape on it lol Aim for this week will be to purchase some brand new aftermarket headlights (Does anybody know whether these are worth it or not?) and an XR bootlip spoiler new from fibresports Was going to pay $300 for one from SSV but thankfully was browsing through TROYMAN's thread and just as well as fibresports are a lot cheaper! So will be getting the bootlid and spoiler sprayed and holes filled on the bootlid while its in the spray shop! With the spare indicators i'm going to be experimenting by tinting the lense on one and spraying the inside black (like BenJ's) on the other to try and achieve the look I want as the current indicators are WAY too clear for my liking! Anyway the car won't be going in for paint for at least a month while I try and save more money but will update the thread as things happen Cheers, Luke

So, the bolt that joins the cat and exhaust flange together fell off tonight...
Made for an interesting trip through westmead/parra/westfields then home lol The noise it made in the carpark and bouncing off buildings was pretty epic but sounded pretty horrible haha I won't even explain how bad the vibrations were at 70+km/h... Anyway have to get that sorted saturday or something. Stuck driving the parents AU tomorrow
