I went to have a look at the XD pano, the 302 looks okay. I'm not sure what gearbox or diff it has in it though. I guess whatever the standard was for 302 XD Falcons.

C4 and a 28 spline diff? Or is it just the 351's that got the 28s?

I've also made a thread to try and get an idea of the P6's value:
ford-x-series-f29/value-of-p6-ltd-write-off-t92764.html

Neither of us really know what they are worth.
Does anyone know what these piles or parts are worth?

P6:
Complete except: engine, diff, gearbox and PS box

XD:
only good for mech parts:
302C in need of a rebuild, unknown auto and unknown diff.
I also don't know what condition they are in

Any clues would be great..

im not to sure what it would be worth.

if it helps 3 years ago i got a 1964 xm falcon sedan for $600 6cyl 3sp manual, motor didnt run, brake pedal went to the floor, heaps of rust, few decent sized dents in it. :P

maybe offer something around the $700 mark? seeing how hes taking motor etc.

was he throwing the XD van in for that price? or is that extra?

Nup :p he doesn't know what either car is worth. and their unique condition makes it even harder I guess.

He does keep saying how hard it is to find cleveland engines tough, and how rare P6's are and how it would be worth a lot it he was to split it out and sell it on ebay.

So I hop he's not after a boat load of cash, 'cos I don't have it :D

I'll be calling the guy with the P9 and XD in the next few days, hopefully we'll be able to come to a reasonable arrangement :)

I'm also moving my DC to the garage tomorrow, during the trip up it's booked into Pedders for the 28 point test, it will also reveal whether the pump or the rack is faulty, but I think it's the pump. Even more so because I went to make sure its fluid and oil levels were okay today and I can't even see the power steering fluid in the pump at all..

I'll take a few pictures of it when it's next to my XC :D (my XF will get booted out onto the driveway :P)

Either Thursday or Friday I'll move my EF wagon to my house and give it a bit of a clean up. It's going in the Carsguide this week.

Yeah the cow seat covers is where the value really is :p

So I just finished driving my DC up to pedders, after having topped up the power steering fluid from it slowing leaking out over the few months its been sitting in my driveway I drove it up to Pedders, I noticed it had full power assistance.. And yet it didn't at any stage of the drive home after buying it, some 200+ kays..

After I reached town though it started becoming stiffer, I'm guessing it had leaked from of it's fluid out again, but the weird thing is it didn't seem to leak any out at all on the bug drive after buying it, and now a trip that's less than a quarter of that has it running dry?

I also noticed that the alarm was unplugged yesterday, and it seems to have about 3 vacuum lines running into it too, it's an interesting piece of equipment.. I'm going to plug it in when I get it up to the garage and see what happens.

good stuff hopefully pedders will be able to find the cause of the leak.

that alarm sounds interesting to :P i used to hate the alarm in the ef i traded for the TX5 because when i put a battery in it the bastard went of  had a little sensor under the bonnet so it would go off when the bonnet was open :P also had a sensor for the boot, each door, each wheel etc was pretty sensitive you could bump the car with your hand and set it off.

Yeah there's a sensor on the bonnet, and interestingly the instrument cluster show the fuel door and the boot lid as open, even when they are closed, so maybe it has sensors that aren't fitted properly..

Also when I was checking the oil and fluid levels yesterday I noticed the door locks where a bit slow, but I couldn't remember if they were faster when I bought it, so I just assumed it was because it was really cold or the actuators and lock mechanisms could do with some lubrication..

I go to start it this morning and there was nothing, not even a single light would light or the smartlock jewel.. The smartlock light still functions in the EF and that battery is really bad, the door locks move so bloody slowly..

So I ended up throwing the battery from the EB in it, started straight away :D (even though it hadn't been started in a few months).

It seems strange that it went completely flat over night though, it was reading 4. something volts. It would have had at least high 10 or 11 volts yesterday evening, and there was nothing on except standard stuff, like smartlock, but the battery was sitting fine for a few months..

I'm a bit p****d, I only drove it home on that battery, that's a waste of a hundred and something dollars
