They are a lot more noticeable in the dry.

I went out to a wreckers on moonah today to have a look at a Fairmont dash. Unfortunately its a series one, but I think it's still compatible except for the instrument cluster.

They want $280 for it though.. But no other wrecker had anything AU except for the occasional Forte.

series 1 use smartlock, series 1.5 onwards used smartshield, so chances are the looms wont match up too...

Yeah I know thanks mate, which is why I won't be able to use the instrument cluster.

I'm going to make sure the looms aren't too different before i think about going any further. Being a daily i don't want to have the dash out for too long trying to figure out what wires match up to what.

To Fairmont at the very least. Long term I'd like a full AU LTD interior with black leather. And all the LTD bits like power seats and mirrors with memory, sat nav, etc :D

Although that'll probably never happen because there aren't any AU LTDs around, much less being sold as a wreck in Tasmania for a reasonable amount :x

Yeah haha, in the old days it was cars on bricks, now it's cars with pov pack interiors :D

I've been keeping an eye out at local wreckers, papers, ebay and auction places. I've only seen one or two at the most AU LTDs, and they're driving around not for sale as a wreck, yet
