After work today I put the drivers door card on. I swapped the insert from the blue stitch type to the suede ones, although they are the tan colour from the interior I'm replacing :P

But since I wasn't able to replace the floor and tray wall carpets to grey, it might make it look a bit more planned..

I've uploaded some pics of the door, also of the radio area where I put the audio gear and a few trims back in.
The drivers window controller is pretty scratched, I plan to swap it over for the right hand rear one from the ZL, that way it'll only have two buttons on it for the two ute windows, and that one is in great condition (but it's packed away somewhere..).

Also, just a side note, the climate control and cruise/antenna and light control panels look pretty worn in the photos, they are the originals from the 350k vehicle. I have some mint condition ones with zero wear on them but i decided to stick with what came in the ute. The others are too good for a car that's only being used as a workhorse kinda thing.

I also stuck an old Ford thing on the steering wheel, doesn't look the best but at least it's badged I guess..

And I put a dash mat on too haha, I got two in the ZL IIRC, the one that isn't pictured is a deeper pile carpet but isn't as well matched colour wise to the dash board.

I'll be leaving the tray wall carpet out and the roof lining as the current tan one, they'll be one day jobs haha. It's too much mucking around at the moment.

All that needs doing now is:

Drivers FD seat swapped in
Passenger door card
Both controllers installed and wired up
Park brake section of trim chucked on
Scuff/door sill and seat belt/B-pillar trim installed
Kick panels
Sun visors

I'm not sure if I've said this before, but I'm not going to worry about hooking up the power mirrors or locks. Or the dash or door speakers.

Also I took a couple of exterior pics:

The engine and engine bay can probably do with a good wash and degrease. And the exterior needs a massive wash too, especially the mags.. Maybe they'll look half as shiney as your Brad if I washed them :P

They're probably used to polishing things in exchange for a can of Beam or whatever

After work today I went around to get the iron head of an XD 250 xflow, that's not in my utes tray :)

While I was there the last bits of the head gasket repair was done on the EF wagon I sold a couple of months ago.
I knew it had a leaky head gasket but a few weeks after the current owner bought it, it started pissing down the block, apparently the alternator suffered damage too. And one of the head bolts had snapped in the block, which was a cause of the problem.

Luckily the bolt come out pretty easily, anyways it's all back and running again now.

Bit of a side track, but still..

So what's the go tomorrow?

Also I just bought some used King SSL springs for my AU :D
Although I don't have any money left now :x

I was also looking on ebay to price lowering blocks, there were only 1 and 1.5 inch ones for AU-BF. All the 2 and 2.5 inch ones were for X series utes and E series wagons..

I've been checking my account pretty often waiting for my tax to come, it still hadn't so I thought I'd check the bank account number they had used (they managed to write down my mobile number incorrectly) anyways I found that they had a 7 instead of a 9 in it. So I've been waiting for something that was never going to happen, I'll be going there tomorrow to fix this crap up.

Pretty annoying stuff..
