Well thanks to late tax I doubt I'll be getting that AU sat nav from ebay.. Hopefully another one will come up in the future

After PM'ing a guy on Fordforums it's penciled in that I'll be buying both left and right hand XC mirrors or him, a GS cluster (if the other bloke doesn't take it), and a P6 console to match the P6 interior I may grab locally that's complete except for the console.

He's also selling a complete 4spd manual conversion for an XC too, (I've already got the clutch pedal and stuff) but he's selling it with the hydraulic gear, clutch, bellhousing and everything else too. Unfortunately he's chasing $950 for it though :(

But they don't come up often, and he's coming down from Vic at the end of the month too, so shipping won't be a problem.

Now I just have to find a spare $950..

Yeah :(

I went out to a wreckers today to get some left rear power window gear for my DC, when I got there and had a look at the NA Fairlane that was supposed to have some in it, it was cleaned out. Waste of petrol that was..

I also went to grab some lowering blocks to suit the springs that are the way for my AU, after being told 1" being the maximum you can lowering it with stock 16" alloys by a few places I went to Tas suspension as they said they had in stock some 2" blocks. But it turns out they were only to suit vehicles with larger than 17 or 18" wheels..

Apparently AU-BF wagons and utes can't be lowered more than 1" max with the stock 16/17" wheels because the lower shock mounting bracket will need to sit where the inside of the wheel does..

So I instead went to get a quote from Moonah spring works to have them reset, they want $270, or $420 if they remove the leaves from the car.. Which is a low more than I want to spend.

So after pissing away 20 liters of fuel expecting to get two items needed to finish two major jobs I end up with nothing but bad and expensive news :x

On a plus side I got my tax refund today, so I'll be picking the XD with the 302 in it up early next week. It also means I might be able to get the AU sat nav kit that's on ebay..

Yeah it is lol, now I'll have a set of springs with no use until I can get some money together and a whole day to remove the leaf springs and take them to be reset and them chuck them back in again

And yeah, the front end is yours if it's in decent condition.

Also I just made a bid on the AU sat nav

Haha nah, it already sits up higher at the back now. I reckon it would look spastic if I chucked SSL's in there..

I'll just have to save some cash to lower the rear.

I guess the 4spd hyrdo clutch box for my XC is definitely out of the question now too haha.

And cheers :P

Yeah very true.

I was also just thinking, I can use the handle from the XD to fix the broken passenger one on my XF.

Yeah lol..

I lost the sat nav on ebay.. I went to check it during a break today with a couple of hours to go, and even increased my max bid to $440.

I checked it again at work and I had lost to a $445 bid.

It's a real b**ch because it came with the CD unit and a remote and all that too. And the high end dash woodgrain surround.

But I've been hunting around for some information on it and it's supplied by VDO, and I've got the part numbers. I've contacted VDO on the slim chance they may have some old discontinued stock from over 5 years ago..

But I doubt they'll be able to help at all, I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on ebay and stuff.

Yeah it's s**t. I wonder what he had set his max bid at..

I was really curious about it, it said it had a CD unit that went near the glove box, and it also had a remote..
