I won't be holding my breath

By the way, I was told that the only place that hires trailers in the area is in Cygnet. But it's almost the same distance to Kingston..

I don't know what time you want to get up lol, but if it's early I'll have to make time to grab the trailer.

If you still want to help :P

If you want to, no probs. I've only gotten trailer from Blue Gums in the city before. But now I live so far away from them I want to grab one a bit closer..

I'm going to call a couple of places tomorrow and get prices of the local ones.

I'm going to get the trailer from a petrol station in Cygnet, about 20 kilometers past my place. They open at 7:30 and close at 7PM.

I'm going to see if it's cool to pick it up at about 8 or a bit before. Too early for you?

Also there are some baragins in the carsguide today:

XC ute, rego $1500
XB ute, 3spd man, just out of reg $1000
XC V8 fairmont, rego $3000
XC GS ute, rego, 6cyl $3000
XC sedan, 6cyl $1500

I'm not sure about the condition of some of them, but a couple are in pretty good nic for their age.

Aslo Brad, there's an XP sedan in there for $2-2.5k..

Yeah, the XB ute has some minor rust apparently and some small dents. And it's out of reg, but within the 3 month period.

And the guy said that the three XC's are being sold due to an illness of the owner. So they probably would have been sold for more..

Either way I"'m sure they'll sell quickly.

Picked up the XD yesterday with the help of XD VAN 82.

There were a couple of problems, like towing the trailer away from the hire place without unlocking it and dragging the trailer being hired and another car trailer out, it also broke a padlock.

There were also a lot of problems with the trailer:

Winch cable was too short, wouldn't even reach the end of the trailer
One of the trailer brake lights was damaged, we were pulled over by the police for it too
Winch handle was bent and scrapped on the housing
There was no jockey wheel and the mount for it was bent
The winch cable was pretty frayed and sharp

Anyways, it got the job done I guess.

We also had trouble moving the car (towed it with my AU) with the trailer and the XD on it off the paddock from the guy I bought it from. He eventually towed the trailer with the XD on it and my AU off to the driveway :P

There was a bit too much throttle applied in my AU while the tractor moved the cars and trailer out, some wheel spin occurred and some mud splatter happened, that's all we know..

Here's some pics of it in a petrol station:
{DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION}

I'll take some more in the daylight tomorrow when the old thing gets pulled to pieces.

It also has some lowered springs and reset leaves, so Brads going to take those, as well as the front end too.

The mags that came on it are okay looking, so I'll keep those for my XC until it's done. Save the hotwires from getting damaged maybe.

The tail lights are in good condition too, it also has a chrome auto tbar, the really cool ones.

But the passenger handle is broken, so that won't help my XF out much.

Also, it's a factory 302, so it'll have a C4 box, I know that 351's had a 9" LSD standard with them, so I'm hoping the 302's had a LSD too, even though it isn't a 9" :(

It's a shame it's going to be wrecked really, if there was someone keen in the state to restore it it would be awesome, not many factory V8 black XD panels vans would have been made, even less would still be arround now..
