Bought a pair of side mirrors for my XC today, also the GXL type cluster.

Image Image Image Image

The mirrors are in OK condish, they look bad in the pics but just need a good wash I think.

I've also bought another boot garnish/licence plate bit for my DC, mine has a crack above the no plate and the LTD logo is sort of 'shattered' looking on the bottom.

And I've bought a chrome and woodgrain shifter surround for my AU on ebay, but the chrome is rippled haha.. But it's better than the cheap looking silver painted crap that's on the pov pak AU's.

While looking at AU parts I've realised that AU shifter surround, and no doubt other bits aren't made of real wood. And I think I remember reading that they are just fake bits from AU onwards?

At the wreckers today I inquired about the RH rear windows regulator for my DC, there was also a sunroof that's currently in an EF Ghia.

They want $220 for the complete sunroof, and this switch was advertised for sale to suit early E-series and would look awesome in my DC :D

Also the same EF Ghia is potentially a V8 PS pump, I'm calling back next week after he's found out if the other bloke who shotgunned the motor needs the pump.
He's also going to make sure the power window stuff isn't taken by him either.

If I can grab at least that pump then I should only need pads rotors and tie rod bushes to register my DC.

Here's a pic of the switch (hope the guy doesn't mind I repost it):

Still waiting on the DC boot garnish licence thingy and the AU shifter surround..

But I did pay for a V8 PS pump today for my DC.

Also my AU has on oil leak somewhere.. It doesn't seem to be leaking much at all, it hasn't got down any according to the dipstick and there's no oil on the sump at all.
I'll clean the engine from dust and stuff (like I meant to when I bought it) and see what the go is.

Received the AU shifter surround today, it isn't as badly rippled as it looked in the pictures.

I'll install it tomorrow I reckon.

I also got a slip from TNT, which I think is the DC boot trim, I'll give them a call tomorrow and arrange to pick it up or whatever.

I was advised the PS pump for the DC was sent today :D

I'm going to try and get some new rotors and pads all round for it and a left had mirror and windows regulator. Then it should pass rego without any worries.

Money has been a little short, two lots of car rego's this month plus other stuff

And here's a pic showing the near on tyre tuck in my AU :D

I might also see how much better it looks without the mud flaps, but they are handy though..

Yeah. Can't wait to get the pump.. It'll be nice to feel proper power steering.
