EB
I'm going to pickup a new door for the EB this afternoon, it's complete for $50. Al it'll need is a respray to the EB's colour. I'll be going up to remove the old door and hopefully install the new one, I'm yet to see if there's damage to the hinge mount area on the car.. There probably is as the current damaged door sits out a bit at the top, but it could also be that the hinge is mounted fine on the car but pushed into the door a bit. I haven't been able to open the door yet because it'll damage to quarter panel more that it already is and I didn't have time to remove it when I had finished driving it back to the garage. EF The EF wagon is also going to be moved down to my suburb today too, I can't wait to have another look at the hotwires

Get the hinges for the new door as well, and use your old hinges to straighten the A pillar out a bit so the door sits on properly.
Cheers ToranaGuy

EB I picked up the door for the EB yesterday, I'll be going up to hopefully swap it over today. And also enter the unlock code for the stereo.. EF The EF wagon is now at the place of a bloke I know just down the street from me, it looks really good I did take a picture of it but I won't be able to upload it until later.

EB
I swapped the drivers door on the EB yesterday, the result wasn't great. The door itself if from an early EB/EA and it's loom plugs are different, the speaker is 4", the door lock is seized and the window is stiff to wind up.. Just perfect Anyways, the door is on and is at least able to semi close without rope now. The top of the door is about 200-300mm further out than it should be. I'm going to get a quote of what it's going to cost to fix the hinge mount area, I don't really have time to do it.. I fit costs an unreasonable amount I'll just have to do it myself after school/work for a few days.. Also in one of the pics you can see some black deposits near the exhaust, the pipe is cracked just after the differential. Luckily the black stuff wipes straight off. {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} EF Here's a photo of the EF wagon: {DESCRIPTION} There's a few bit to fix up externally, internally though the only thing that it needs is boot carpet in the wagon bit. XF Here's a few pics of the interior swap: {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} Here's some pics of when I temporarily installed the cluster from the ZL to see how many K's are on in: {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION}

That's a bummer about the door, i wouldn't have thought it would be out that much. It's been ages since I've seen an Xf with a digi cluster. That's so 80's high tech.
Cheers ToranaGuy

Cheers ToranaGuy Yeah haha, 80's funk. Well I suspected it was due to the way the old door sat, but I couldn't be sure because of the state it was in. But with the common problem of them being a bit weak in the A pillar door hinge area I should have known It won't be hard to fix, just time consuming to get it right.

EB
I've swapped the drivers door over, it now closed without rope I swapped the wiring loom over last night (saves cutting up the one that came in the door) so it plugs straight into the existing looms, I can now lock and unlock it properly. The only thing it it's an EAII door, still has tibble locks but it only has the 4 inch speakers, but it'll do. I also swapped the mirrors over to some I'm borrowing, which is handy. I've been thinking about some decent wheels for it too.. I might chuck on the hotwires off of the EF, of maybe even the magnums off my ute, but I'd like to leave that as it is, they look good on the XF IMO and they'd probably make the EB look boganish.. I'll take some pictures today, maybe.. It looked much better after I gave it a wash. EF I reckon I'll have the cash for the EF this time next week, but I'm going to ask him if I give him a couple of hundred now if I can take the hotwires off and replace them with some stock wheels.. DC I still haven't received the PS pump, the bloke I bought it off has had some troubles with postage, hopefully it won't be too much longer though.. I'm also buying a new LTD grill off a member of here, as the current one is cracked. I'll be transferring the money for that today.

Just a quick update, I picked up a key for the EF yesterday, I'm going to remove the hotwires and put them on my EB for now.
The EF will get the DC's LTD alloys until I grab the steel ones off the EB.

That ZL Fairlane is one of the limo's Dennis has, my EF's parked at his place. BTW, I've been reading through your NC Fairlane build thread, I'm a fan

It'll be worth it when you've finished mate
While I'm making a post, my new DC LTD grill arrived on Friday, I'm yet to swap it out for the cracked one though. I've also decreased and cleaned up the EB's engine bay, I'll have a look for the exact source of the power steering leak in the next couple of days. I'm hopefully going to order a pressure pack to respray the drivers door on the EB too, other than that all I've done is remove the pin stripes on it..
