Heres my new 98 EL XR6 5 speed,

BA XR8 wheels
King Springs (lows)
Pacemaker Extractors With a full 3 inch exhaust threw..
High Compression pistons
Lumpy cam
Big valves
Got some "head work" done, Not quite sure what but i am guessing somewhere along the lines of Bigger Ports.

When i get a bit of money i am looking to get it put onto gas and to have a dyno tune to get the maximum power out of it as possible!

Not sure if i am allowed all this while i am on my "P's" but im sure if i dont attract the police i will be fine.

If you have any questions or thoughts on what i could also do to my car please let me know.
Thanks for looking!

It cost $50 from FTG it's a site sponsor , look on my build thread it's in there .
Basically the ba pipe ends 70mm before the airbox. So I used 3" pipe to join it. But the el airbox is 55mm so I used a ef one. Just undo the 4 bolts.
Then u have to plug the breather on it .

Hey man,

I got an EL XR6 as well, you could install AU injectors, they dont give you any more power, but you will find that that car is a bit more responsive.

Another thing that would really make a difference would be to get a J3 chip from T.I. performance.

I put one in about 4 weeks ago, and I'll have to say that it really makes a difference. The car pulls alot harder and it isnt sluggish at bottom end.

Just fitting my new Fusion 12'' sub and fusion 350w 2 channel amp to run it!
After i mounted the amp i thought the cables looked s**t hanging out around the mount to i cut holes in the mount so it would look much nicer..

Also am putting in my Short throw shifter this arvo, Will hopefully have photos up tonight.

Very neat install , is the sub held into position so it don't slide around , that's something I might look into doing

Good luck with the shifter install

Yeah mate i put "L" brackets in to hold it in place..

Also, i put the shifter in, nice tight shifts, But it seems to let a lot of noise threw.. Does yours do the same? Its like it needs a rubber seal around the base of it like the old one had?..

Yeah mate mine let's noise in. I put all the rubber bots back on that came off and its still noisy , but yeah I know the rubber boot Ur talking about . The one on the stock shifter, come to mention it my hasn't been noisy lately so I must be used to it.
Are u using the positive stops ?

I am going to try and find a rubber thing i can put around the base of the shifter to try and stop noice getting in because it is bloody annoying! haha

Hear is some photos of the short throw shifter i put in today, Makes the driving the car so much better, shifts are really tight and hard..
Need to look at getting a custom rubber boot to put over the shifter base as i think its letting a little bit of air threw and is annoying the S*&t out of me!

But all in all i am happy with it and money well spent!
