I think its a great combination. But it does need to be a tad bit lower. My goal is to have it as clean as yours, doubt thats gonna happen though  (stupid NSW hail dents)Anyway, Christmas came late today. Got her a new sound system! We got everything for literally half the price which was amazing considering what we baught. Good times ahead installing   By the way how do I remove the factory amp from the chassis wall? I have to drill through the rivets I assume? |

Played gone in 60 seconds on the dvd player... wow! it was as if the EL had a 428 cobra jet itself! (EL eanon lol) Iv got to rewire the rear speakers to the standard wiring cause the are running on the front rca output. The head unit has this stupid setup where you have to choose between the sub or the rear speakers. Iv got the sub there so no amp for speakers, for now. I'll invest in something called a line output converter which basically adds rca plugs to the 'pigtail' wiring. Anyway ill chuck up a few pics when i'm done in an hour or so.

A'ite, heres some pics of the new sound system setup:
Before  AFTER  Front splits, tweeter on pillar  4-ways in the rear  Real happy with how everything is so far. Sound is nice and clear, especially from the splits! The head unit fits in nice and snug and has so many features, even for the base model. So many options for altering audio too compared to before. A few more things need to be done before its perfect but its more than adequate for now. All in all, a great system.

Thanks all! Yea the headunit is an alright fit, only held in by 2 L-shape brackets though. better ada another 2 soon..

The speakers were a really tight fit due to the massive magnet on them, had to hack out the sound deadening foam behind so the windows could go up. But they're all good now, used some plastic from the box in place of the foam to give it some protection. Tweeters were fairly easy to fit by the way. Just drill and mount. |

That also seems to be fairly simple the only way it can be plug and play is if brand is the same and even then it depends how often the brand change wiring harness easiest way to wire a hu i found is using a converter harness it makes it all plug n play |
