Hey mate
Car looks mint. Love it! I'm currently looking into doing this to my el
I looked into boosting my motor using a stage 3 snort kit but with almost 190000km on it and the that kit I didn't think it was worth it. $4500 then I've gotta fit it, tune it change internals and zorst. I'm thinking of going down the same route as you. I've already got a rough quote from cresent motorsports.
Just a few questions
Firstly- I know it's rude but roughly how much has it set you back (pm me if you want)
Secondly- do you have any more details about Darren from FTG? Would be keen to get a quote
Thirdly- roughly how long did it take to do the swap?

Cheers
bng

Yeah, the B-series donks are something else ...enjoy it mate 8-)

I had a BA XR6T and my EL a few years back, was always saying how I wish I could take the engine from one and slap it in the other ...how things can happen, lol

Car looks excellent and sounds great. Its good to see another XR6T Conversion here in Perth

Im currently undergoing a FG XR6 swap into my Car. doing everything i can myself but a few things i will need outside help with. but thanks to Patience with scouring ebay for deals and A good fabricator/welding hookup its all running along pretty smoothly.

Your just using the Standard E series T5 arent ya? No issues or worrys with it handling the power?

Im going to be keeping the T5 when i do my swap. But wil definatly be keeping a spare handy as the car is my daily driver so i cant really have it off the road for more than a day or 2.

Thanks P-100

Yes mate, using the stock T5 through an AU bellhousing so all the bolts line up ...I have however upgraded to a cushion button clutch.

Everything is holding up just fine at the moment, but really, it's down to the tune and how you drive it.

With an FG XR6 you should have no worries at all using the T5, but maybe at least go a HD organic clutch.

Good luck with your conversion, and make sure we see you out on some Perth cruises when you're done!
