Hi Mate
Car looks great just wondering how you went with tacho and if your ABS is working correctly.

All good mate, used a Tacho adaptor, ABS is fine.

Thats good. I thought there was a prob with ABS when doing this conversion. AAHH one day.If I can only get the missus to get rid of some horses then I would have cash.

Enjoy it

How you going about fitting Au rear seats? Do they fit? Do you think Ba xr seats would fit an el front and rear?

Fitted the rears today without too much hassle, having the AU mounts & clips makes everything much easier.

Will throw up a couple of pics soon ...they look f**k sweet!!!!

All I need to do now is whip off the door trims & console lid for some re-trimming, find a full set of Black seatbelts ...and she'll be pretty much done interior-wise!

Picked her up from Monsta Torque today.

Can't recommend Rob enough, he spent a huge amount of time on her, and came through with a very nice tune.

She drives like a different car. Can't complain about the power & torque figures either..

Had her out last night in s**t Perth traffic..

She's not driving the best at night with the lights on, revs pulling down very quickly on downshifts, and revs also hiccuping (falling very low and bouncing) at low speed changedowns. Seems like the extra electrical load at night is not agreeing so well.

Will take her out this weekend and see what the daytime running is like. I've been in touch with Rob, and I'm dropping her back in a couple of weeks to see if he can iron out the above.

Another thing I've noticed that is more pronounced now ...the exhaust is cackling like a witch on halloween on any downshift / deceleration & run-on, even a tad down from 5th. It was there before, but not as loud.

Sounds like I'm driving a '65 Fastback, lol.

Do any of you other Turbo guys get this cackle? I know a lot of people actually like & want this sound, but I'm not sure if it quite fits a Turbo 6, and it doesn't exactly help on the stealth side of things, lol. As far as the causes, I'm aware that it could be due to a rich mix & unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust, or just lack of backpressure with the free-flowing 3" system I have.

Have any of you Turbo guys had the same thing, and what did you do to quieten it? Extra muffler / resonator? Is it something I should be worried about?

Cheers!

Dyno sheet from today..

Idle and behavior is MUCH better.

Plugs gapped down to 0.7mm, fuel added to cylinders 5+6, and more timing added early in the curve.

Back in at Pedders this week for sway bars, front springs (again) for a 10mm drop, and HPX QFM pads all round
