Good to see its going together well for you.
Might be able to hook you up with some Thermos as well. Just will need to see if Brett wants them first.

As Brett mentioned, no need for the thermos, I did get a set from Brett a few months back. Thanks for the offer though. :)

Nah, from what I can tell, the white of the letters have actually been faded off or worn off. Only on the right hand buttons though, which strikes me as odd...

Drivers side is the up and down speed set isnt it?
If so thats the wear. They would be getting used more then the on and off button.
I know I turn my cruise on and just adjustthe speed off the steering wheel when travelling.

Got the new muffler and tail pipe in. Heard a leak, so we got a new clamp for where the muffler joins the tail pipe. Got a piccie of where the pipe was sitting against the bumper bar:

Got it moved, so there's now about a centimetre gap between them.
Fired the beast up, and there's still a leak. It was at this point that George noticed a rusted hole on the muffler just under the tail pipe. I don't have a picture of it but George put some maniseal in it and we're now waiting for it to dry so we can try it out again and see if it did the trick.

Finger's crossed for me. :-)

There has to be something different between the bumper exhaust points on the ED and the EF.
When it was on the EF it sat dead centre of the cutout with no issues.
I have absolutely no idea why it is sitting so off centre on the ED.
The exhaust does seem to be sitting out a lot further on yours the it was on the EF. On the EF the tailpipe didnt go past the rear bumper , it finished just inside it. Must be something different there.
Did you remove the tailpipe from the muffler to fit it all up? Im wondering if the tailpipe has dont gone all the way back into the muffler when it was refitted causing the back to be a bit out of kilt and the hole might be the expansion slot in the pipe flange?
If you can shoot me a picture of the hole and where it is even though its been sealed up.
I am really intrigued by it.
We will have a yak about it and work out something between us to make it right. Im not out to dud anyone mate , and am preparred to sort the sitution out.
Sorry mate.

Last weekend Monty got a new Auto trans (courtesy of BenJ) and while they were at it, my mates (All West CV's) changed the Gear Lever Bushes, so much difference.

Today is the "Do the Brakes Day" as it stops like s**t and the current discs are warped, so more work :D

I also changed the Left hand headlight yesterday and replaced with a nice NEW after market headlight, looks very good, now it has 2 new headlights, just needs resetting D:

At least today's job with the brakes is pretty straight forward to changing over a gearbox. You'll still get bloody dirty though! :D

they only make the tailpipes for the ef/el so they dnt sit properly on the early e series...thats wat the guy said wen i got my new one but the middle pipe on mine was custom made so it sat in the middle...but it sits way to low so theres a massive gap above it

Well, I never thought I'd do it, but I no longer have my Monty. I traded it in today for a 2003 {DESCRIPTION}.

I feel like an E-Series traitor, but I honestly have wanted a BA for a long time and couldn't pass this one up.
