Monty is finally lowered! YAY.

Much easier to do the back shocks than the front ones. LOL. Looks so weird when I look at it though. hehe

Here are piccies of the springs for comparison, Monty in its new look and the comparison of before and after.

Tomorrow I'm taking it to get an alignment done so that I can bring it to Liverpool tomorrow night.

Next up to be done, probably in this order (neither of us want to do the last one) is The thermo fans, door mirrors and heater core.

Very very nice!! That is one hot looking boxcar now that it is lowered, makes me more eager to go out and find one for myself lol. Glad to hear it all worked out mate, bet you're over the moon about the new stance

Oh yeah. Its strange, I can't imagine it not lowered now, and it was only lowered this morning. LOL.

Thing about photos though, they hide all the scratches that are on it, like under the driver's door handle, upper part of the guard arch etc. Still, it does look damned good in those photos. :)

The Front ones were $180.00 :( but the rears we bought from a guy in Wollongong for $60.00 for the pair. Do you STILL want the front shocks from EDDY? I will remove them if you do?
You could try what I did to Cam's car and go the AU fronts? Springs will cost same or you may find on Ebay for MUCH less. I wouldn't go ULTRA lows. The Super lows that Kings list are what you want.

But, you will need to buy Lowered Rear Shocks to work with new Rear springs. We go them from CV Joint Aust @ Auburn

It was time to change the head on Monty, I did everything right and when I put the stupid rocker gear on and moved it a little than had to remove again, one of the lifter fell out and, DON'T know where it has gone to :(

I heard a drop the a little tinkle sound and gone :( don't know weather it went down the motor or into the Cat :( :( :(

Hope it is the latter, Cam will be posting pics soon of the FEEELTHY condition of the OLD head.

Very easy actually except for me losing the Lifter :(

by the sounds of it the lifter has probably fallen into the engine??
was it a front or a rear lifter??
as long as it hasnt fallen into the timing case, it will be in the sump,
you coild try fishing it out with a teliscopic magnet, but dont worry if you cant get it, it cant go anywhere..
you just need a replacement...

Thanks Troy, that settles our nerves a bit, George was thinking he'd need to remove the engine and pull it apart to get the bloody thing out. He used swear words I'd never heard before.

Incidentally, George says it was a rear lifter.

well being a rear one there is much less chance of it being in the timing case..
and as for it being in the sump, the oil pick up has mesh so it cant get sucked up and it will just live its life in the sump..lol..
there is a small chance it might come out in an oil change but i doubt it... :)
