The box only cuts off the top and the sides, it is open at the front so it gets all the cold air from around the headlights and its also partially open at the bottom :D

Ah ok, but it has no scoop or feed? It's not restrictive at all?

Nah mate, far from it... the engine sucks the air, it dosnt need a feed. The gaps around the headlights are a fairly decent size so when the cars going forward theres heaps of air getting in there anyway.

But that is making the engine do the work. If you force it in, then its one less job the engine has to do.

Dude, it definatly cant be any worse than the old maze of an intake that they come out with standard. As for forcing the air in, well thats what superchargers are for  haha. Looking into them later on down the track!

The arcon boxes work on the same principal as the BPR boxes for the b-series 8s, and both are producing great results after a tune...

Nah dont work in a tyre shop... i also had Ba SR 17's on it for a while haha! dont have pics but got em on video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5neurH9Vqcg

The Arcon box's go for around 250-300, however i heard that they were going to stop making them, though id say theyd most likely have some in stock... Check out the arcon plastics website.

The plates are a bit of a joke between mates, basically its a getting on the piss term. Maggot RAAA, but i wasnt allowed to have the word maggot on my plates so i had to abbreviate it...

A bit has happened since last update, got the 17's powder coated, they look heaps better than the dodge can jobbie. Also recently put a bobtail spoiler on (no pics at the moment, im away at work) will try chuck some up soon though... Best of all i picked up a paxton novi charger for a great price! Still in the process of picking up bits before installing it. Though im going to run a A2A 300x600 stealth black intercooler which was delivered a few weeks ago. Starting to pick up bits for the fuel system at the moment, hoping to have the rest of it collected in the next couple months so i can throw it all in!

That's one clean Xr8 mate, and I love the sound of the exhaust! That's one thing the EFI windsor can pull off, the old school v8 sound, as it is a rather old school v8 after all.

Cheers
