Neither do i but im still waiting for my gear to arrive, pedals, shifter and boot.

The car is up and running!!!

I went to go for a test drive early tonight but when i put the foot on the break 3 fuses blew! I have no low beams just highbeams, blinkers but no hazards and the cruise wont turn off, so i disconnected the speed control unit.

I didn't have much time to test anything else or go further with the issue as i had to be ready to go out with the missus, argh.

So i just got home and really keen to go for a drive its been a good 8 months?? Dunno were to go from here thou..

Regards.

Sounds like you might have damaged some wiring when you fit the peddle box man.

Have a good hard look up at the looms under the dash & see if you can see anything that looks sus.

Cheers

Just pulled the dash forward and couldn't see anything damaged when i did the pedal box i don't remember unplugging anything. There is a couple of small plugs with no were to go???

I just put the dash back and now i got nothing car wont start.

i got no power to the radio at all and when i turn the lights on the revs needle bounced around and stayed on 4000rpm (with engine off) then went down, everytime i look around more things go wrong! arghhhh

Im over it for today and the rest of the week.

There are 2 connectors there that the brake wiring can plug into iirc, one is for the brakes, other is for cruise.

Cheers

Do you mean the 2 buttons from the brake pedal? This makes sense because the cruise stayed on untill i disconnected the speed control unit. Ill have to have a look when i get home from work this arvo.

Thanks alot for your help,

Gives me some hope haha,

Regards.

Just have a look at the connector where you plugged the brakes switch into, it's probably the wrong one. Swap it over & replace the fuses & see what is happening....

Good luck dude!

Cheers

Im not seeing any that could be wrong, all the wires before and after the connections are the same colours.

Which one is for cruise and which one is for brakes cause i don't need anything cruise control.

I still don't get how the EB ran the T5 with a auto ECU???

When i turn the key on but don't start the car the Rev needle goes crazy! WTF

Auto ecu + T5 requires mods to make the auto ecu think the gearbox is in neutral all the time.

IIRC the plug for the brakes & cruise use the same color wiring.

Cheers

Are we talking about the 2 buttons running off the brake pedal?

One has 2 black wires and the other has 3 green with different stripes.

Troy man said you dont need to do any resistor tricks to start the car with an Auto ecu,

The EB ghia has no ECU or Auto wiring loom mods how the fu#k did it run is what is annoying me.

When i try start it now it makes horrid noises the interior lights flash and the brake fail light comes on.

The brake pedal buttons look the same as the other car except the ghia one goes into the green BEM and the ED on just goes into a loom.

I just don't see how it can go down hill from not changing things

I don't know about that one man, if the ECU is a smartlock one with inbuilt auto control, if it doesn't know the auto is in neutral or park, it shouldn't start!

Unplug the brake switch altogether & then see what happens. Do you have another switch to test, to see if the switch has become faulty? They do fail.

I've had some starting issues recently, the brake fail light comes on, and i hear some clicking of relays behind the dash, but no action from the starter motor. I think the little wire that goes to the starter motor with the slip on connector has come off.....

Cheers
