Didn't get it from SommersNL(Leticia) did ya!

Due to inexperience i was giving a plain EF engine with an AU head(the engine had not been put together correctly and was internally damaged. I was told it was a EL hybrid, i didn't really have a reason not to trust them but well there ya go. Glad i just wasn't to much out of pocket over it.

cheers.

Nice to know we were right about the brakes blowing fuses, but it's better to know you have it running properly now!

You don't "have to" change the pulley on the alternator to fit the 110amp alternator into a EA-ED falcon. You probably should, but i didn't, and i have not damaged the belt after more than 30,000kms of driving. YMMV. I did have to modify the top alternator bracket, the top of the alternator housing/case & put a thread into the top bolt hole so it will bolt on & adjust as per factory specs.

One day i might change the pulley, but there are too many other things to do first.....

Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys,

s**t i wish i checked here before fitting the ALT got it all fitted then realised the bracket issue and didn't want to screw around because its booked in for RWC tomorrow morning.

So its just got a 70A 93DA Alt on it so its working, On another note i forgot to disconnect the battery after putting the window down and when i was sliding the alt in it touched the power cable and earth'ed out surprised me, and now the low beams don't work but everything else does.

Ill look at it in morning but any one got idea's on what i should check first

Cheers.

Hmm well its all working.

But.. In reverse its knocking on something gearbox wise. and there's a rattle coming from what i think is the exhaust and its pretty annoying. It pulls hard but I think the clutch is slipping under power as the tyres didn't chirp but the rev's shot up and nearly hit the limiter. I managed to find a god dam 3mm Allen and tighten the b itch of a shifter as the thing wobbled off after a few shifts!

I've got a leak on the top radiator hose where the Craig D thermo temp sensor goes in because i managed to loose the rubber... bung type thing. Might buy a new kit take it out and return the rest  unless i can make something up.

Really have to get use to this Clutch as the suzuki's is straight off the floor and real light.

Could the clutch be a goner even thou the pedal is still rock hard, im thinking yes.

The black silicone i used doesn't seem to harden and was just pushed out by the coolant.

Regards.
