wipe the radiator inlet with a rag with metho on it to make sure its clean and then smother silicone on the radiator inlet and put a bit extra where the capillary line goes and then put the hose on and tighten the hose clamp well and leave for at least 12 hours but 24 hours is better

cheers bear

I found my top radiator hose no longer leaked when i replaced the hose & clamp. When i first fit the thermistor it would leak a bit, but not anymore, now the hose & clamp has been replaced.

Cheers

Just don't over do it, you can crack the tank on the radiator. They are "only plastic" after all.

Cheers

I use the Marine Grade Clear silicon, and I have not had a leak for two cars and several years. I never had the rubber bung thingo either. Just stuck the temp probe up the pipe, a bit of silicon, and do up the clamp.

Cheers

Well i didn't even think to check the pads as there are quite as but apparently the fronts are metal on metal... I brought some new bendix pads for the front and rear but am going to get the rotors machined as they have a slight lip.

He didn't charge anything for looking over it so ill sort out when to take it back next.

I was driving to work this morning got to the top of the hill and it didn't stall but just turned off..

Wouldn't restart so i had to roll it backwards into a side street and walk home to get the suzuki to get to work..

I got a new battery today cause i think this ones totally rooted, the boot release fuel flap windows headlights all work but it won't start.

thats not good. if the car just died, just maybe it could be the alternator that failed?

just a suggestion

So.... i just jumped on the scooter (not electric or petrol** ) and went down the the car,

Same symptoms as before most things work first click of the key turn but turn key more and got nothing. I disconnected the battery and hooked it up again tightened it. Looked wiring under dash (dunno what i was looking for) wiggled a few things kicked the dash turned the key more and more..

THEM BAM IT TURNS OVER BUT WONT FIRE! lol at me putting kill switch on.....

Flicks switch in secret location  and hopes it wants to start again... it did.

So i drove it home hoping it would make it up the hill and it did.

I got some brand new terminals as the positive cracked when i took it off.

Im going to clean up the battery terminals and fit the new clamps and see what it wants to do.

Id rather not waste a $100 battery if this one wants to work some more.

Solvered the water hose leak with a home made "bung" from scrap rubber.

Not totally happy with the T5 its noisy and clucks in reverse so i might need to just get the fu cker rebuilt...... or looked at.

I need a rubber pad for the manual style brake pad got the clutch one. He said its not critical for the RWC but would be nice haha. Ill bung on a random one with zip ties.

Where can i get some welsh plugs as 3 are truly rooted with 1 even leaking precious coolant. Will go to ford if i really have too.

Cheers

Yer i couldn't stand leaving it down the street all by it's self, with the drivers window down a little.
