Between showers! It has been raining continuously since 5pm yesterday
All I can do is look at everything I have to do from my back window

Trailer got some new shoes today. Also relocated my big tool box from the back of the Triton. All packed and ready for a well deserved rest
Gunna hit the spare tire well of the LTD with the trusty angle grinder tomorrow. The bolt that came with the trailer for the spare is crap and not even the same thread as the ford nuts

Little update!
Wagon finally registered again Took it in for an inspection before lunch, but unfortunately, it got knocked back on both tie rod ends. As today was my last day of holidays, I quickly zipped over to Repco, handed over $50 and 2 hours later, I had fitted both tie rod ends and returned to the inspector to get my passed pink slip! The mechanic didn't believe that I had repaired it in that short a time, and was a little gob smacked when he jacked it up to see 2 new tie rod ends staring at him! Wasn't that hard, the difficult part was removing the old ones.....the trusty hammer helped out there Amazing what can be achieved when motivated to get it registered before the dreaded return to work and yes, it is getting a wheel allignement.....booked in for Friday! Also decided that the wagon is staying in the family for now, not that there was any interest in it anyway.........even had it sitting out front for the past week or so with 4sale signs and $2,500 asking price..........nothing Next on the to do list is finish stripping the LTD and prepare the swift for the dreaded blue slip, then I will sit back and decide what is on the chopping block......something's gotta give, 5 cars and a camper trailer take up a bit of space Cheers, Mick

After changing the tie rod ends yesterday for rego, I get home this arvo and the missus is still complaining about a knock in the front right.....WTF
Took it for a run and ....nothing, then turning around in a tight circle to reverse the car into the driveway and get a loud clunck on full lock No idea what is causing it........get the mechanic to check it out on Friday when wheel alignment is done......I'm over fixing this f**k wagon! Leave it to the pro's from now on!!!

could be a shock. dads AU sounds horrible when the shocks let go... but i guess it would be more often then just on full lock

I reckon it will be either a dodgy balljoint or a stuff sway bar link pin/rubber.
Im leaning more towards a balljoint.

The sway bar bushes didn't look too healthy come to think of it, but I might as well just replace the ball joints as well. At least I know it's all done then

LTD's nearly stripped. Most of the interior is out, boot lid off, just need to remove the doors, dash and all wiring looms and the rest will be off to the wreckers.
Finally got these mongrels off today They sure did stick them on to last Now the painstaking task off cleaning the rest of the sikaflex off........anyone have ony tips on an industrial solvent or the like to get this s**t off??? Once they are cleaned up, I will have to start the whole process off again by removing the original ones from the lane so these can be put in their place
