Bet she's chomping at the bit to get her hands on it

With the current state of the US economy, I think that prices will only improve for some time to come. Which is good news for me, as I still have far too much on my plate at the moment to take the plunge just yet.

Get this business acquisition sorted first before I go making any further investments on the home front. Good things come to those who wait, not the first time I've mentioned that eh!

Cheers,
Mick

Not bad, with the highest bid being $16k, it gives an indication of what people are willing to pay over here. Still keeping my eye out for something special from the states, but in no rush.

No.1 priority is still to get the driveway done and build a decent sized garage before I go letting any ponies free in the back yard :P

This is something along the lines I would be very happy with.

Harwell actually had one very similar to yours a few weeks back, but I think it sold pretty quickly......was same colour too
here it is.......$22k
http://www.harwellmotors.com/muscle-car ... r02q165215

But then you see something like this that actually makes the 66 in Vic for $19,500 seem like a fair deal :? Looks like it needs some work!

Damn you Ash! Stop stoking the fire....I've got work to do :P

It is No.1 on the to do list. What we are struggling with is the overall plan for the back yard. It is a big space and with the current multi level design, we want to get it all planned out and do it correctly, in the right order. The old house down the back needs a lot of work, and if we renovate it rather than knock down and rebuild, we can avoid involving the Coucil.

The only thing to do with the driveway now is to decide between bitumen and concrete. Both have there pro's and con's, but I keep leaning towards the bitumen. Carport will be concrete though.

Back on the other subject, have you heard of this guy in Melbourne?

I think I'm in love with that Shelby............beautiful piece of machinery that one

It's the original house on this block. Has 3 rooms + the old Loo and Laundry. Not very big though. But yes, plans are to split it into 2 rooms. One will be tenage retreat and other will be for storage.

Biggest issue with it is the external walls contain asbestos. Plan on just leaving intact and cladding over it. Way too expensive to have it removed. At some stage, all services were removed, So it has no electricity or plumbing.......previous owners may have been in the process of demolishing it :?

It's all good Huggie! Will probably get it sorted this week if I can get away from work early. Only been out of rego for a couple of weeks. Off to Sydney for an OHS Course for a few days though, so as always, will probably have to wait till Saturday if I can find a local mechanic with a gas ticket.

I have a couple of options, there is Chris Bale Automotive out here in Toronto West. He has a guy that has a LPG ticket, but he doesn't work Saturdays. They passed the wagon a couple of months back.
Other option is to take it to work at Belmont and get the guys at Carline to do it. They have passed it the last few years and fitted the exhaust originally, so they can't exactly knock me back on it eh! Just a bit worried about driving it that far unregistered with the new number plate recognition systems the cops are running now.

You are legally allowed to drive it to a workshop for the purpose of having it checked etc.

Cheers

Exactly.

Even better if you book the car in and have the phone number handy so the Officer could call and confirm etc.

Cheers

Stop it already! I'm meant to be focussing on the business!

On that note....I just spent 2 days in Sydney on an OH&S Management course! What the hell am I getting myself into  This business ownership thing is not all it's cracked up to be

Maybe I should get a Mustang now, because if only 1 of my Tech's get seriously hurt and I or my supervisors haven't dotted ever i and crossed every T......I'll be broke and sharing a cell on H block with my new missus Bubba!

Yeah! There was one sparky there who works alone as a sole trader. He was thinking of employing an apprentice and becoming a Pty Ltd company, but the OHS Act and Regulations and the red tape involved quickly convinced him that it is all just not worth the worry and additional paperwork and auditing involved.

I am pretty lucky that my company is already pretty well established and most of our current safety management plans and procedures stacked up pretty good. It's the fines and the fact that workcover have more powers than the police that scare the s**t outta ya! All you can do is stick to the regulations, keep up to date with your safety systems and all is sweet.....right? :P

If only life was that easy!
