Will be even better for you Mick when they driveway goes down. From memory those Corolla's were a good reliable car. Is she on her P's now? How is she going on the road? Is she still going to Cardiff? My wife is loving being in the G220. Its great to see her enjoy a big V8. I can see why your wife gets that kick too. Jules has a bit of a heavy foot on the open road too I think when no one else is in the car. Except her fuel consumption appears to be less then when I'm driving, I wonder why? That's the plan mate, concreted driveway will make me very happy! The corolla is pretty tidy. Good little car for her 1st. Goes for her P's in about 6 weeks I think, but she is driving every chance she get's now and improving all the time. I think I will follow your lead on the G220. Either one of those or a later model Fairlane/LTD. Still has to be V8 of course. Keep me posted if you come accross anything decent. I am keeping a close eye on the local auctions, but not to the extent you do, so I probably miss heaps of good deals. Here's a pic of the current stable, Triton still parks up front of course, but 2 from this pic should be gone soon Attachment: Random 066.jpg {USERNAME} wrote: got a drivers side tail light? brett up here had someone reverse into his car new years day.. and is trying to track one down.. i wouldnt mind the V8 and box ahh too many projects myself I'll get back to you Huggie. One side from the LTD had a small crack, but can't remember which one. Still gunna hold on to the V8, don't think there is too much wrong with it, but the box is rooted and will be scrapped with the shell. Don't get me started on projects Between the house, yard, cars and work.....oh and family stuff I think I am booked solid till the year 2015 Cheers, Mick You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

As some of you may have noticed, the ED wagon has gone to a new home Was sad to let it go, but future plans do not include more than one e-series V8, and the lane is here to stay.
The cull is going slowly, but now just need to move the DC shell, and the Lane will have the big a** carport all to herself. Spoke to my neighbour on the weekend and he installs roller doors, so he is going to let me know when one comes up (freebie of course, one mans trash is anothers treasure and all that whohaaa!) and the carport will become a garage of sorts and sorry Huggie, no LTD tail lights. I forgot they were sent over the ditch for a certain LTD Bit late getting back to ya, but better late than never eh! Cheers, Mick

But one E-series is more than enough to keep me busy with the very limited free time I do get.

{USERNAME} wrote: Just another step closer Mick. Must be getting closer to the driveways turn now too? Have you had any luck finding a replacement for the wife? I haven't seen anything of any sorts come through the auctions. Driveway is very close now, just need to move the big pile of scrap metal that once resembled an LTD and I will be a happy man Will be starting with concreting the carport and fitting a roller door to close it in, and then will decide which material will be chosen to do the driveway. I still keep leaning towards bitumen for some reason, but time will tell once I get to the stage of geting quotes. Price will ultimately be the deciding factor As for the wifes car, I'm playing silly buggers with her at the moment. She wants something in the later model range, but so it doesn't spoil my plans for later in the year, I have told her she needs to get a job to help funding.....if ya know what I mean But I did find this last week. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250984669771 ... 1423.l2649 Will be going to check it out on Wednesday, but they have it listed as a Fairlane Ghia, but the interior and certain red lettering on the boot tell a slightly different story Have you had any dealings with this auction house? Cheers, Mick

Not a fan of the fairwagons at all! Phill is more than welcome to take it down that road, and has had one in the past, but not my cuppa tea As for insurance fixing your mates car......must have been a fair wack to warrant going down that road. With the risk of it being a stat write-off, it could have been lost to the scrap heap. Glad to here it went the other way and it is getting repaired.

LTD is not a roller unfortunately, I have pulled out most of the front suspension I also want to keep the diff, so it will be getting skull dragged onto a flat bed once I get the last few bits off it. Still have to pull the donk out too, but I am looking around for a tripod setup to make it possible.
Thanks for the tip on the satnav, good to know these little tips when inspecting and yes, I agree. That interior is dead sexy. Pic's lie, so will reserve final judgement until inspection.
