I actually saw a G220 down my way the other day same colour and all and the plates were LBW101.
I was about to shoot you a message as if you were down here why didn't you catch up! You used to be able to order the old yellow and black in whatever you wanted. Maybe they are ex company cars?

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around! |

Can't remember the name of the company, but I found it on some old receipts that are in the glovebox. Will have to check now, this is an interesting development Thanks Matt

All good mate, don't mind you posting on here.....nobody else does If you want to share your endeavours with more than just me though, the link I posted for the Fairlane/LTD thread is the place to do it, but I started that page many years ago too, so is starting to fizzle out and could use some fresh builds to follow. I've seen a few do the colour coding on the interior, and it can look OK if done tastefully, but I'm old school and prefer to keep it relatively original, with a few choice mods stolen from other similar models when required

Haha thanks for that. Like you said, each to their own. I did it simply because I wanted a custom and unique interior - haven't seen any others like this

That would be a cool coincidence if both those G220s are from the same company.
I like knowing a cars history. I once had a yellow XD that alteady had town history, I sold it and 5 years and 6 hands later it turned up dead at my mates shed. Long story behind that one lol.. He gave it back to me and I sent her to the crushers. Unsalvagable, harsh life for that one.. Speaking of the 220 though. Any more photos yet Mick? I love the intake manifolds on them going down the centre, they look cool.

Thanks mate. Been going for 6 1/2 years now, so quite a lot of useless banter in here, rather than actual progress on the car. I'll get back to it one day, but not making any promises!
