OK, You were right  That will teach me for impulse buying. When I went to fit it I realised that the fittings were all wrong and I still needed to include the MAF, and without the airbox lid, it just wasn't gunna happen :x Now, my airbox lid has the bell end fitting, so without pulling the lid to pieces and putting in another straight piece of pipe, I couldn't box it either (easily). So, I took the friggin thing back and got a refund. I then went looking for the K&N cleaning kit, and bloody typical supacrap, they didn't have any in stock and didn't know when they were gunna get some in  Back to looking for a replacement airbox for my damaged one.
Lesson Learnt! :? Next time read the tech doco's before buying gear for mods

Here is a pic of my half-assed attempt to fit a pod filter, and also a couple of pics of the damaged airbox lid. I managed to get my hands on a K&N service kit off ebay for $26 includes post :) . Just need to get a replacement airbox lid (may have found one thanks to svo-matt) and I'll be back in business :D
Fancy a mini cruise to liverpool KK's friday night Ben? I'll probably be going for a run down to meet up with Matt, might as well make a cruise out of it eh!

Gday NCIILANE, Your ride is superb, rims look beaut on the Lane. I dont mean to be picky mate but your Tyres are on the wrong sides. The direction of the tread tells me the wheels should be swapped out side for side. But please correct me if im wrong.
I do look forward to future pics

Hmmmm! You could have something there :? I bought the wheels off ebay and fitted them myself, so anythings possible. I'll take a closer look tomorrow when it's light, but the "rotation" mark on the side wall, in the photo of the clear repeaters, is a bit of a give-away isn't it
Good pick-up mate. I have been driving around on them for 6 months and you're the first to notice  I did notice the rotation mark one day, but for some strange reason, I thought that it meant to rotate the tyres in a certain direction :P Bloody dumb a** I am :)

It's important to learn by your mistakes, and every day you learn something new is a good day! So all is good :D
Enjoy your trip to Canberra, I'll probably still go for a run to KK's or Harry's (same place???) as svo-matt has lost his but terroristghia has one for me
It was still a nice lookin filter, even if I couldn't get it to fit :P

Mate why dont you go to the wreckers, they would have one for sure, and it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than going down to sydney.

Try rathmines wreckers, they are damn good, and cheap as chips.

Oh, and yes i do like a few ales :P

Cheers for the tip Ben, but the boys at the Koala park show were telling me about the Friday night meets at Harry's and now I have an excuse to go for a run and have a Harry's pie :P Yeah! I know we have a harry's too, but can you imagine what the cops would do if we started congregating around there. Friggin Nazi's.

Update on the tyre saga! I was 1/2 right, only had two on the wrong way. I was so excited when I received my wheels that I didn't even consider that they had a certain rotation  I found that the rear right and front left were wrong, so I swapped them over. All good now.
Also fitted new spring clips to airbox today. Waste of money they turned out to be :x Was driving my son to a mates place yesterday and another backfire and same result, clips go flying off in all directions and lid just ends up hanging over the side of the airbox. I was lucky I didn't loose any of the clips, so when I got home I grabbed a bit of wire and made a few retaining wires to connect to the spring clips so they don't go flying off too far  Time to pull my finger out and find a decent set of gas leads already.

need a pop off valve, like they do for Blowers so if they back fire you dont end up with a big mess.

I'm working on a one way valve that will be connected to the point where the big dog turd (donut) is normally. I'm thinking of using a 30mm conduit cap and cutting out 2 sections in the lidand then pop rivetting a piece of rubber over it. Bit hard to explain how I picture it but I will post up pics and instructions if it works :D
This is where the turd normally sits :P Currently has a brass welsh plug held in with a hose clamp :?

Mate shes lookin good, if u want a neater look EB1 V8's don't have the donut (dogturd) so if u can get the intake pipe out of a series 1 it would look neater or i hear some center caps fit in the hole nicely.... :D keep up the good work Mick
