How far off ditchng the ghia badges and rectifying it truly limited? or you just keeping them?

Thanks Mate! I'm at a point now where the car is what it is, a Failane Ghia with LTD upgrades. I still have a few things I need to get my hands on like, DC rear garnish, boot emblem and a few interior trim pieces and the conversion will be considered complete. For now I think i'll keep the Ghia badges, don't think i'll be coming accross any of those parts any time soon.
Mick

Been watching this thread for a while with interest, Mate this is the nicest LWB Boxcar I have ever seen. Mint as, love all the LTD touches. Think you need a bigger garage for the thing though...

Keep us updated on that fairmont too!

Nice Fairlane Mick, If you want another cheap and easy Mod, take a look in my gallery at my tyres. All you need is some white tyre paint and an hour or so. looks S*** Hot in the flesh, excuse the dirty car lol. I seriously recommend the mod.

Thanks mate! Your too kind  I only just got my garage cleaned out after the lane had been sitting in the driveway for the past 11 months, so happy with that for now. A big double garage with workshop and a hoist would be nice though :D

Don't hold ya breath on the fairmont mods mate......it's the missus' daily and won't be getting too much special treatment, not in the short term anyways!

Each to their own I say! Glad you like the look, but I went through that stage back in the 90"s (refer: Mick's Fords in Sig)
I prefer the wet look tyre shine these days.........go through cans of the s**t. Don't get me wrong mate, I loved the look back then too, especially the old Bridgestone Eagers and Yokohama 352's with the white lettering, just my tastes have changed with old age  :P

Cheers,
Mick

Thanks mate! I'm in love too! Something to do with the 6 dogs I s'pose :P
Original sound file is on page 3 for those that couldn't be bothered looking, but here is another I had taken on the same day but on petrol instead of gas. Enjoy :D (for best results listen in dolby 5.1 surround sound at volume 10! It's music to my ears  )

I still have my stock lane wheels here in mint condition with brand new tyres on them. I was considering getting them white walled and throwing them back on. I think the stockies will look good now she's been lowered. But white lettering is not gunna happen. I recently had new tyres fitted to my pajero and specifically asked the guy to put the white lettering on the inside of the wheels. As I said, I go through a lot of tyre shine :P 12 tyres on an average wash day

Just received my latest edition of Street Fords today and it made my day! Not only has the lane made it into Boys in Blue, but I won! :D

It is very gratifying to see the hard work is paying off. I am the happiest ford man on the planet at the moment, besides lowndesy and whincup of course

Oh!, and did I mention that I just spent 5 days at the mountain witnessing ford's dominance again :)

I even made it under the podium to get a little spray of the champagne that flowed from the bottles of the champions.

Does life get any better!!!

Image

I sent it in many months ago, so some of the wish list has already been completed, but there is always more to do

Cheers,

Mick
