The poppers can be put anywhere really..

Heres where they would mainly sit as it's just easier.

Dunno bout you fullas but even if my doors are locked, using the interior handle unlocks them... which is good cos I no longer have the buttons on the inside with my EF trims in the EA

Definately will be getting them done, just a matter of when. Only reason I am reluctant to do it straight away is that I still have factory paint in pretty good nic, so would be a shame to ruin that aspect of the car until the paint needs to be done for another reason. I have considered picking up another set of doors from a wreck and getting them done, that way I can always revert back to the factory originals. Just need to find myself a set of good quality lane/LTD doors, preferably complete with actuators, glass etc etc.
Everything I have done with the Lane so far is reversable, so I will be continuing along that theme.
Cheers,
Mick

look on ebay mick, plenty of cheap lanes on there. remember the fronts are the same from sedan wagon and lane, where as the rears are the same as a wagon. so it expands you options a lil

Well, a little update!
I decided to pull the woodgrain out of the NA today so I could clean it all up ready to throw in the NC. Then I got the itch for pulling things apart, so I started ripping the engine bay apart in the NA to remove the head (blown head gasket for those not up to speed). All was going good until I tried to remove the head bolts. The bad news is the head is still on the car....the good news is I get to update my socket set as I snapped 2 x 1/2" - 3/4' adaptors and 2 x extension bits trying to remove the f**k.
So I dropped that idea for now and decided to get my NC ready for the Newie car show tomorrow instead. all was going good and the car is looking schmick so I took it for a little cruise. When I got home, I had coolant pissing out of the front of the car :x first I thought the bloody top hose was leaking because of the recent thermo upgrade, but not so lucky The side tank on the radiator has split about an inch and and is pissing out fluid everywhere. So now I need to get a new radiator so if anyone in newie has a spare E series 5.0L radiator in good nick, drop me a PM with a price. I need to have it all fixed before the Fords in the Park show in 3 weeks :?
Cheers,
Mick

Chuck the one out of the NA in it while you have the NA apart doing the head.
The six and V8 ones are close enough to work.
Then you can get to the show tomorrow too.

Thanks for the tip mate, I thought of doing that (I have 3 other boxcars here, all 6's) but i'd rather just do the job once. I have found this one on ebay for the EF/EL V8:-
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-EF-EL-Falco ... 240%3A1318
Can anyone tell me why this won't fit in the NC :? AFAIK, they are for the same engine?
Cheers,
Mick

the only thing i can think that might be different is the size/diameter of the lower radiator hose.

after nc/ed the lower radiator hose is smaller in diameter..
i know this is the case with the 6 cyl..
and my old eb 5.0l radiator had the larger diameter lower hose but im unsure if the nc or nf/nl 5.0l does??

More fins per core on the 5.0L radiators. For what it is worth Mick, the wagon has a 6cyl radiator in it with the bodgy clutch fan and it has no problems keeping my five o cool.

Isnt it something to do with the different support panel between EA-ED and EF-EL that doesnt allow you to interchange radiators?
I think it is because the top of the panel is different.
