Gunna throw these in the Lane today. They were kindly donated by the NA I bought for the missus. The dash pieces are in excellent condition, but the shifter surround and switch panel have seen better days so not sure if they will pass the quality test yet
Will throw up some more pics when it's all fitted and then I will proceed to removing the cracked radiator :x

All fitted!
The dash came up pretty good, but I'm still not liking the centre console pieces. The colour of the wood is all wrong compared to the rest of the interior pieces.... :?

I'd keep the parts on the dash but the bit of wood around the shifter and window buttons looks too light

the woodgrain on the boxy's look like such an after thought BUT not saying it looks crap or anything it looks really good, need to chase up another centre bit, looks too light.

Thanks fella's,
I agree, I'm not too fussed on the shifter surround and switch panel...so I suppose the hunt continues
I pulled the radiator out as well this arvo, check out the size of the crack, it's bloody huge
Image
and now I have a big hole until I can get another one, but it gives me a chance to have a bit of a degrease and clean....gets grubby down there

Cheers,
Mick

I still haven't met this friend of yours yet. What did he end up doing with his seats?

Lookin' good Mick, i too think the console wood looks a bit too faded, as the standard of the rest of the car is so high! as for the radiator i haven't seen a crack that big since i was down the cross last year!

Could the wood be stained, would that assist in the darkening of it. Or is it like the rest of Fords wood and mostly plastic

the woodgrain has really livened up the interior, looks good

if anything, i would take off the woodgrain thin bit that goes around the speedo, just to keep the dash simple. And like mentioned, the shifter surround with a similar colour as the rest

Thanks fella's, I agree and the console has a bit of a cheap'n'nasty look about it compared to the rest....problem is I'll probably end up paying throught the nose if and when the 2 pieces come up in the right colour.
Not sure about the restaining Brett, I had a closer look at it and it seems to have a thin aluminium sheet with another layer of timber and then a clear coat over the top....wouldn't be worth the effort I reckon.
And what were you doin lookin at big cracks down the cross Ross :P
And the cluster surround is a bit too much eh! I'll have a bit of a play with the combinations and see what comes up best....have to say it doesn't look too bad in person :)
Cheers,
Mick

Mick, that cluster surround piece is probably the hardest and rarest piece to find. In your Lane/LTD, it works and looks great. Keep it.
