I am at the stage now that, whilst I have enjoyed building, cruising and showing the Lane, it is time to move on

The Lane "Will" be on the market very soon!

Watch this space

NCIILANE:
I've enjoyed your enthusiasm and of course your barge since I joined this Forum.
You have inspired my own efforts in sinking hard earned into my own NC 5 Litre.

But mate, I agree. Go the normaly aspirated big bangers!
The NC Fairlane is a bloody good car to restore.

$3 grand later, I have a terrific cruiser.
I'm sure it scared the hell out of Nan and Pop in it's day, but there's no mistaking the true neddies of a decent 351.

Good onya Mick and thanks for giving me the V8 bug again after years of Suzuki's (1200 Bandit current)
I like ya work!

Thanks Dave,

Appreciate the comments mate. All good things eventually come to an end and I have enjoyed the journey. A lot of the old Lane has now returned and the reversal is nearly complete. My time here is nearly done

Cheers,
Mick

I have my Triton and the missus just wants a small car, probably laser. I actually would like to get her a Delica, but.......not keen. Probably get her a Fiesta or Laser.......time will tell. First I need to offload what I have here.

s**t yeah, go the Laser!

Hey Mick, this is from a while back in your thread, the underdrives you bought, did the crank need machining at all?

I've got my water pump and alt pulley lined up for machining, just wondering if i need to take my crank pulley in too.

Nope! I only had the water pump pulley machined. Can you believe I still haven't bothered to get the alternator pulley fitted.........not sure it would make any difference, other than the colour of course  It's been running like a dream since fitted, so not gunna bother at this stage.
Page 18 I believe you'll find pic's of the machined pulley.
No laser mate.......bought an ED wagon instead, but it's not running at the moment due to a blown heater hose under the manifold.....and I couldn't be fooked pulling half the motor down to get to it
Cheers,
Mick

Gunna eventually sell my wagon too ........and step up my efforts to offload the Lane (other than a sticker on the back window, nobody knows it's even for sale  ).
I have found something very special I wanna get my hands on
Important thing is it's still a big Ford

No Ash, But how about the price drop on it now
Would be nice, but it is the kind of car I would like to wrap up in cotton wool and tuck away in the corner of the garage (if I had a garage :P )
Your on the right track though, it is a wagon.........

Close, but no Cigar
I've been motivated to sell. I have a ball park figure to work towards on my prospective purchase, so let's start the bidding on the Lane..........$6,500 and I'll include all parts I have accumulated over the years. Can provide a detailed list if interested  Includes complete original dash and centre console plastics, original height springs and shocks, electric window regulators, original NC wheels with Yokohama's 95% tread, rear stabaliser bar bush's, spare air boxes, bbq plate and so on, and so on. Seriously, I have a whole room full of gear. Try and find a better deal than that
