and i also saw a DF LTD WAGON factory made as one from ford  rarer than seeing me build a house

Hey Mick, check this out. I think you need one! Matches the interior perfect, would be even better with a coat of clear gloss!

Is a good match eh! Will have to get me one of those, then I just need to get my A/C modified and regassed so I can get the smelly goodness as well as the asthetically pleasing woodiness :P

I'll try to get a pic for you.

With it being an Wagon, from the factory with the fairlanes and ltd's, people could have them specially made as wagons as they used the LWB

OK! Another change to the Ford line up at Mick's garage is in progress

I have deffinately decided to keep the Lane and as such, the For Sale sign has been removed. It now sits on the back of the ED wagon  It is now on the market and will suit someone looking for a clean, unmolestered wagon to run the family around. Asking $1,800, but open to any reasonable offers.

Here's the For Sale thread here:-
ford-parts-for-sale-f17/fs-newie-94-ed-futura-classic-wagon-polynesian-green-1800ono-t92952.html
Feel free to drop back here to comment now that the for sale threads are locked :P

What's the reason for selling the wagon you ask???
Well, because you asked so nicely  I am currently in negotiations with a family friend who has a mint AU XR8 Ex-chaser he is selling. Know the car well and it has been looked after to the standard that my Lane is acustomed to, being another mad Ford enthusiast. He was going to trade it in on a 6 because his missus is on her p's and has been fined for driving the 8, but now he knows I'm interested, he would prefer to see it go to a good home.
Let you know how things progress!

Cheers,
Mick

Hey Mick
Sad to see the ED go, but thank god its going to be an AU XR, not a series 1 forte

Now, as i hate AU1 Forte's so much, its time to bag it out in s short sentence: The bog standard series one AU makes Xcabbi's little scooter look like an aston martin

Back on topic, are we going to get to see the new AU XR8, and what series is it?

EDIT: i didnt realise it had only done 500kms since you got it

Mate, the ED has only done about 500k's since I bought it, and half of that was the trip North from Sydney where I bought it. So not sad at all.

Still negotiating on the XR, so no pic's or anymore info until a deal is struck. Latest comment was that he doesn't like selling cars to friends or family incase something goes wrong with it :x
I don't give up that easily though and I'm in no rush, just as long as he doesn't go and trade it in.

Last post edited, i didnt realise it had only done 500kms since you got it

Ok, fair enough.
I can understand where he is coming from though Like if i sold Monti to a friend and they trashed it, i wouldnt want to see it in a bad state but because your car is such a good example of how much you look after your cars, he shouldnt be worried at all

and lets hope he doesnt

If I do get the AU, it will be the missus daily. I personally don't like AU's but the missus loves em so I think it's about time she got what she wants instead of me trying to shove s**t boxcars down her throat, hence the reason the wagon's only done about 500k's, she prefers to drive the Lane (can you blame her  )
No mod's for the AU, it's an ex chaser with black leather interior, I think she will be happy the way it is.
This will then pave the way for major cosmetic surgery on the Lane   It's about time the dream pic of her in my sig comes to reality 8-)
