yeah no rego yet. still no piping on there yet, turbo kit hasnt arrived yet (better be tomorrow) and still bigger brakes to be done, upgraded ABS, fuel system, ECU lol the list goes on. but a nice supercharged LTD/Lane V8 would go down perfect. and when you close the bonnet you can even tell there is an intercooler ;)

ill update my thread with pics instead of clogging up micks lol

While we are on the subject of crap and good fairlanes, look at this eyesore that i spotted while shopping for more electrical cabling at Bunnings Tuggerah.......

Its an NA1 Fairlane...... interior looked s**t too.... Woodgrain all snapped, half the s**t was broken...

Just have a look at this anyway

i feel your pain.. my fairlane is stuck where it is, i can only move it back and forward lol. stupid land slopes and its at the bottom, its only minor but when your pushing a 1600kg car with rusty brakes it gets a bit hard.. then there is the no handbrake so it rolls over you every time you take a break

I have a killer slope at my place, if I got it right down the back, I don't think it would come back up again. Just moving it from where it was last night was an effort because of no first or second gear, but both cars are under cover again. Moved the LTD from down the back yard, then it started bloody raining again. Cleaned up the woodgrain while it was raining, and then gave the Fairlane a wash when it cleared up.

I find myself questioning what I'm doing with the LTD again, might just pull it all down to the bare shell and then rebuilt it again using a combination of the parts I have accumulated over the years and getting some new bits here and there. Think of it as a long term plan. 8-)
Supercharged DC LTD on funny gas......I can picture it now
Ya know what that means though......no parts for sale :P

No worries mate! I seen a nice 5.0L Cobalt Blue NC today when I went down to get some lunch, just in stock trim, but he gave it a boot full when he pulled out of the carpark :) What is it with LWB drivers and wet roads eh?

mick, it you dont sell parts thats fine.. but you already have 1 LTD garnish :P i just need the badge lol

it would be good if you fixed it all up, even a top mount supercharger would be awesome.. something with a heap of whine, then atleast you will know everything has been done to the car

Few pic's of the wood. Cleaned up OK. Pity about the big crack in the shifter surround :(

It's a very close match to the "sticker" pieces I have in the Lane now. Will swap them over and see how they look.
I was just wondering whether you could inject a resin into the crack like they do with windscreen repairs :? Might be worth a try, not worth much with a big a** crack like that
