That falcon is imaculate, if he parked next to me i think id move my car out of sight, but in saying that the exterior will get lots of love in the future as the $ permit.

Yes the previous owners before me gave no f**k for the car its sad really but im hoping this ones a keeper for a long while so i wont mind spending the coin to fix it.

I agree, I don't think Matt would be against giving you some tips and, if you have Facebook he is on there. He lives in South Australia.

I don't think your car is THAT bad. :D

More datalogging...

About 1800kg weight, against a light stall up @ 1260rpm
Run to 100 goes for 6.9seconds with wheelspin in the 1st 1.1seconds.
Im hitting 60 in 3.4, 80 in 5.4 and 100 in 6.951 seconds...

All done on the motorway out near raby.

Thats torque reductions removed and a few degrees more timing across the board...

To give you an idea when i first bought the car @ the weight above i did it in 7.8 seconds... i ran a 15.452@89.89mph with that 0-100 time.

Not bad at all, you have knocked nearly a second of your 0-100 time. Impressive, so you should be looking at a 14.5 sec or so pass... :D

What happens when you half do a job and say ''she'll be right mate''...

Things go wrong...

Because i havent gotten around to bolting that bracket down properly the shaker 'shakes' alittle more than it should...

What happens when you dont tighten clamps up properly.. they loosen off...

After not being able to leave my bed all week due to being sick, i was able to finally jump in the car today to drop jase off at school...

Powersteering felt heavy and throttle response was down, and power???.. felt like it lost its zinger sauce from kfc..

Upon noticing how it was driving it also sounded bad under the bonnet, like a grinding knocking noise.

Still not feeling 100% i thought id leave it to the afternoon to check out, with the car running i could hear the noise pretty good so i thought maybe its my dodgy cuts on the bracing....

sure enough i apply pressure to the bonnet and it doesnt rattle anymore BUT the engine rpm's die down heaps and theres a loud grinding noise.

Ok pop the bonnet and it was pretty evident what was happening, the supplied hose from Hornet Soop
had come loose (my fault) and wedged itself between bonnet and powersteering pulley.

Attachment:
hose.JPG

The metal rings inside the hose had worn nice 5 odd mm grooves into the serpentine belt and a large hole had formed letting engine bay air/heat in.

hurtbelt.JPG

Whats worse is it was putting sufficeint force on the pulley that it was making knocking and grinding noises...

front view.JPG

Just checked and powersteering is back to normal and no knocking/grinding.

So need new hose, new belt and to get a thread in there for the bolt..

This is what happens when your too eager and do 80% of a job..

I assume it rubbed through the intake hose???

might be a good idea to check your air filter now, because any of the rubber/ plastic may have been sucked through the hole in your flex hose and into your airbox...

Well the miss that i thought was gone has come back, and when you turn corner's the car wants to die...

Replaced factory fuel pump with the stealth 340lph aeromotive, cant even hear the fuel pump prime its so quite,it fixed the bs when turning but still misfire's when you accelerate...

Just going to have to bite the bullet and spend the $ to get it on a diagnostic tool.

Also replaced rear brake pads for a pair of cheap $30 jobbies and now the car stop's.

Common cause of f**k and missing.
Rockauto is the cheapest place for a new one.
