Thanks man. It's really very very simple to do. The whole setup (minus the actual stereo gear) cost me less than $100 and took me the equivilent of a weekends work... Oh, and I did three years of High School tech class :P

Well I sold my SONY MonoBlock for $355, $135 more than what I payed for it BRAND NEW about 6 months ago. Thankyou eBay! The funniest thing is that the most my amp has sold for BRAND NEW on eBay is $305... How the hell can some people be so dumb?! Anyway... other people's stupidity is my gain I guess :D

And if people are bored have a look at my parents' beast... http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=

Amps mounted in their new places, on the side panels, waiting to go in

Sealed my false front onto my sub box with liquid nails... I really hope I never have to take it all apart again...

I didn't get any close up pics of my new JVC's in the parcel shelf but you can see them in some of the pictures. They sound nicer and look heaps neater than my 6x9's...

Now all I gotta do is sell all my old gear...

very nice install.

How are the side pannels which hold the amps held into the side of the boot.

I cut them fairly spot on the right size so they're mainly wedged in there. But I also got a pair of L-angle brackets holding them at the bottom and it's also screwed into cleats at the front.

haha love the work mate. reminds me of when i was doing my stereo, except yours looks way better haha.

is your battery in the boot? just curious because those fuses are most effective in the first 1ft of cable from the battery.

As much as they look cool, where ya have them. id be worried with them that far down the cable, because ive blown mine a few times, and i could imagine how much it would suck to have to buy more stereo gear.. im doin year 12 too.

I've got a 100A fuse in my line connecting my two batteries and that's mounted up front close to my main battery. Then I've got a second battery mounted in the boot and a 60A fuse on each power line to each amp coming from my second battery. So those fuses are mounted about 1 foots worth of power cable from my the battery... very close.

Considering I already have the phoon intake system and cat-back.

Filter make any difference?
