So I've got a little over $1500 saved at the moment... I'm thinking I'll continue saving for the rest of the year, I'm good at that, and then, as my "OMG YEAR 12 IS OVER" present to myself I'll start the long and arduous process of turboing the old girl... :D:D:D I've dreamt of doing it for ages but I hate saying "turbo is on the way" like a lot of dreamers around these forums do. So I'm just gonna save and save and save until I've got myself enough to start doing it :D

All my questions are here... Help me learn! http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=

ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!!

My new bar has finally arrived.... I sent Peter a firm email and here it is 3 days later :D.

I'm getting sick of waiting for exams to finish so I reckon I'll start fitting it tomorrow... Or at least the sideskirts or something simple...

Well I've lined up a guy to paint the kit for a coupla' hundred if i supply paint and prep the kit.

So I'm hoping I'll have it fitted and prepped by the end of the first week of the holidays... I'll get him to respray my bonnet, bootlid and roof at the same time I reckon. I knew I was saving up for something :(

Well I got so sick of exam revision that I started fitting my body kit today.

I managed to get my front bar and driver's side skirt both fully fitted and have all but finished modifying the rear bar to make it fit but was getting too cold and it was dark so I gave up for the day... I'll finish it tomorrow.

I would have gotten more done if it weren't for the entire kit being nothing but raw fibreglass shells with ABSOLUTELY no fittings.

Here's some pics, bear in mind the last few were taken whilst it was very dark...

What do people think? I love it! :D

A couple of problems though...
1. Spoiler or no spoiler? ... I'm liking the look of no spoiler more and more.

2. Bonnet scoop or no bonnet scoop? Once again, I'm liking the look of no bonnet scoop more and more.

3. I can't get my damn bonnet to shut now because of the grill! I can make it shut if I slam it but then there's a big fat gap under my passenger headlight due to the downward pressure on it. Any ideas from anyone?

So yeh, I'm stoked :D I'll hopefully get all but the wing and bonnet scoop fitted by the end of tomorrow.

looking awesome mate... i like the wing fitted... no offence but by the looks of the pics and reading the text it isnt a very good fit. i think keep the bonnet smooth but ill need more pics about the wing. angle front/side shots, one with and one without.

looking great tho

Surprisingly the kit fits rather well. A hell of a lot better than other kits I've dealt with. However, to get a good finish right out of the mould is next to impossible. I'm happy with how it is going but I wouldn't recommend doing it if you haven't had a bit of experience with body work...

I really reckon I'm gonna keep the rear wing and bonnet scoop off. Keep it looking smooth and sleek 8-)

IMHO you should fit the whole kit, the EL and to a lesser extent the EB GT's are a love or hate thing but if you are going to do it, do the lot. (i happen to like both).

P.S. if you dont need the towbar, lose it or hide it with a cutout. the tongue sticking will look c**p.

I need the towbar for towing our speedboat and Dad's work trailer. It's not noticeable once the rear bar is in place. I cut out the place on the bar for the towbar and it looks nice. I'll just rub it bak and give it a coat of matt black before I fit up the rear bar so you can see.

I'm not gonna fit the bonnet scoop or rear wing I've decided. I just reckon it looks heaps sleeker without. Besides, it's not a V8 supercar so I'm not gonna dress it up to be one. The rear wing makes the car look very overdone I reckon... Not to mention it saves me fitting and painting them.
