Hey mate, nice looking car...think i might have seen you drive past the other day?
I hear you man, when ya talking about yr 12...sitting in class thinking about your next mod while your sposed to be learning integration or sum s**t haha, i had the same thing. Im at uni at the moment so i find more time to work on my car but is still hectic haha. anyways good lookin car, keep up the good work. keep an eye out for me in my fairmont

THE BOOTS ALL DONE!!!
Apart from that freakin speaker teminal that I can't get to unscrew... But that's a minor thing... The finished result... Another couple of hours work and here it is...   While the contact adhesive was drying I also got around to mounting my tweeters properly... I so happy I could cry

i swear i could fail uni cause of my car, doing engineering im meant to be there 5days but im lucky to make it 3

I'm fairly sure that the battery in your boot needs to be in a sealed box vented to the outside of the car only, for legal reasons. Good job otherwise!

Carpeting is a piece of piss...... i thaugh it would be hard but its not...... i just Used Contact Cement and stappled it with a electric Stapple gun around the edges

Mike your exactly right.. sealed box vented to the outside of the car... LEGALLY thats how its supposed to be ha ha |

looking good man. as you know from other thread, i am a fan of the boot install.
get clear indicators. i have them on mine and they look the biz. email a bloke at ratxr8@hotmail.com i think it is, (he is on here: rat_man i think) and jump in line. I have the same wheel as you, where did you get the gear handle? Is it an AU one? |

I know what you mean. I thought it was going to be the hardest part. I just got myself some nice automotive Jet Black Velour and did the same thing you described... Worked a treat

I'll keep that in mind  Its in there nice and firm any how and I suppose it's more or less vented to the outside in some way or another... I mean... I didn't silicone every little air hole into the battery part

I'm a tad pressed for cash after the new stereo equipment and boot install... Coles don't pay us Duty Managers enough

I did a little bit with it at the start just to make sure it wasn't crap and then I did everything! Even the doors. I swear that my plastic scratches before the paint does. It works like a dream. I've done the hard plastic as well as the softer vinyl and it sticks to both surfaces great. It dries nice and fast as well. I just wiped down the surface with a very small amount of thinners and made sure it was dust and crap free then gave it a tack coat of this and then two or three good coats once the tack coat had dried. I haven't had a problem with it yet. But remember, it is still paint and will scratch/rub off if your not at least a bit careful with it. But for $15 a can you can afford to do a touch up here and there
