mmm... Doesn't really phase me. I left the wing and scoop off because all my car has is extractors, sports exhaust and intake, it's not a V8 Supercar so why make it look like one? All I was hoping to achieve was a tougher, more unique looking car. I reckon I've done that.

And true, the paint on the front bumper looks obvious that it doesn't match but, if you knew s**t about spray painting then you'd know that the hardest colours to match are dark metallics. The rest of the kit looks mint, can't notice a colour difference. He probably screwed up the front and then adjusted the mix. I payed for a cheap job and got an excellent job done. You can throw insults at how s**t you reckon the job and my car is all day long and it won't change the fact that I'm happy with it :)

P.S. MooseMan, what did your car look like when you were 17?

All I had when I was 17 was a pushbike and a CR125, but hey when I got my licence at 18 I had an EB but at least it looked about fast as it was and it didn't have any dodgy paint jobs. Its no wonder the painter did all the extra stuff, he felt bad for f**k up the color so did the rest to try and cover it up.

dude have you ever tried to colour match 10 year old paint???
its cool if your not into it but it does look alot better in person.
everyones into different mods and im pretty sure he is saving for engine mods now.

It looks different, so people are unsure if they like it, cause its new. Its a modification, isnt the site about mods? at least he didnt go the whole kit, he did something different and he wants a practical car, that he can drive smoothly..

Its growing on me, cant wait to see it in person!

Try photoshop some different wheels and sizes, cause them rims just arent doing it for me no more. Also clear indicators for sure!

There was never an EF GT, also if thats the quality that ford made then in then its no wonder everyone thought they were fugly. Its a stock falcon with a $1500 body kit, clear taillights and rims.

Thats exactly what makes it different Mooseman...they didn't make them. I also never heard Mongoose claim it was an EF GT, did you?
I thought that was why we were here and talking about these cars: was to be different. Otherwise we'd all go and buy a s**t old VN and slap A Supercar kit on it, cut the springs so It sits outragously low, put the biggest subby you can find at the reject shop in the boot, lay the front seats way back, turn up the Kylie Minogue flatout and go cruisin.

hey mongoose. been watching this thread for a while now. i gotta say after the kits been painted it looks really nice, just looks smooth, and the way u've done ya sig looks best. i doubt u like rear wings but it looks like it needs something, and like a few others said, the rims arn't matching, its such a big full kit that the thin line rims dont match, i think the BA XR 18" woulda suited more, i have the 17 pre-au offset and really like the look on ef/el's. other than that i love the look of ya car now. great job!

Thanks Ausman. Your right, I don't like the look of massive wings unless the car can do the speed to utilize it. But I agree, it looks as though it needs something... When I get the desire back to do body work I'll think about making up a lip spoiler for it.

As for rims, they are way too damn expensive for me at the moment. I'm happy with these rims (which I payed $1500 for :( ) so unless a el' cheapo set come along that look nicer then I'm staying with them.

Forums are about peoples opinions and that is my opinion. That if I pay for a job to be done regardless if I pay $20 or $20,000 that I expect that job to be done properly. I do not know much about spray painting nor have I ever attempted it but I do know that in my job if I decide close enough is good enough then peoples lives and health are directly at risk.

The car is unique and I never said the bodykit looked shoddy. All I said was the IMO the car is rice AT the moment. Im sure once mongoose finishes whatever he has planned it will all look awesome but answer me this question honestly.

What would you say about a 6 cyl VL commodore with 3/4 of the Walkinshaw kit on it but only an exhaust and big snorkel? or a stock 2.0L nissan pulsar hatch with a GTi-R body kit/bonnet/etc on it but again only exhaust and intake mods?

Im pretty sure you would be calling it rice aswell.

Embaressingly I have mates who own both a half done Walkinshaw VL and a GTi-R Pulsar... Both look pretty good

if you read the thread you would have reasiled he had a supercharger kit lined up but as the motor blew up he didnt have the funds...

maybe you should learn what RICE stands for... rice stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements... it doesnt mean anything you dont like... he has a car with a bodykit and mags... more then alot of people have.
