Check out page 8... My tip is there... I'm not sure if I'm keeping my current exhaust so I haven't fitted the tip yet.

Thats exactly what makes it different Mooseman...they didn't make them. I also never heard Mongoose claim it was an EF GT, did you?
I thought that was why we were here and talking about these cars: was to be different. Otherwise we'd all go and buy a s**t old VN and slap A Supercar kit on it, cut the springs so It sits outragously low, put the biggest subby you can find at the reject shop in the boot, lay the front seats way back, turn up the Kylie Minogue flatout and go cruisin.

I posted about never being an EF GT in reply to the guy that said how can a car with a factory bodykit be rice. Im sorry that you based your entire arguement against that, I also never said it was a s**t bodykit. I just said the execution was s**t.

if you read the thread you would have reasiled he had a supercharger kit lined up but as the motor blew up he didnt have the funds...

maybe you should learn what RICE stands for... rice stands for Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements... it doesnt mean anything you dont like... he has a car with a bodykit and mags... more then alot of people have.

Sorry I couldn't find that in my oxfords here at home. I googled it and all I could find was this

The term rice burner or rice car can mean different things, based on the context of its use: * Most of the time it refers to automobiles (usually low-cost factory standard) that have the appearance of a customized / high performance car, but possibly with little or no functional modifications, such as improved engine, suspension or brakes.

Seems to define Mongoose's car to a tee I believe. Im pretty happy you brought the definition up.[/b]

Should have got a high series bonnet and used the matching EF GT grill, that one is horrid!

Not bad though, not my cup of tea

The body kit looks much better in person, the pics just dont do it justice.
The grill, my "personal opinion" is that it looks out of place and looks cheap compared to the rest of the kit. But then, there is only 1 person that has to like it.
The wheels, they are a thin spoke classy looking wheels (wish I had a set of them) but alas the kit is a (how do I put this?) tough looking kit and could use fatter spoked wheels to match. Not much choice here for pre AU.
Ride height, the car is a daily driver and not a Sunday/show car so the height is just right for his use.
Paint, SOOOOOO hard to get right. Give it 6 months and see what fade it has then. Then decide whether to give the fron bar another coat.
Bottom line is that this car is a project that is still in progress.
Enjoy your car mate and do what you want to do to it and not what others want you to do.

despite what nobs say sam, it looks good. It is very hard to colour match paint and i think they have done a reasonable job. I said to you before you should have gone the fairmont front not the GLi but then again this is different.

I think that for a 17 year old your not doing too bad. Come on....how many people have done things like this....umm
Hyena - He is in his 20's
PYROAY - He is almost 30 or something???
Mongoose - 17 year old.....
Thats a fair effort really and i have to give you a hand....youactually modify your car, more then what i can say about other nobs here.

Lets get you another EF for your 18th and that way u can dump the GT, and bigger wheels and that MASSIVE blower on it. ;)

Hyena - on the verge of N/A 13s quarters
Pyroay - 460rwkw

Hardly a comparison.

Huggy don't be s**t because you got shot down with your little arguement you were so proud about.

If he didn't want opinions then he shouldn't have made the topic. If you are happy for people you PAY for services to do half a job then good luck to you. I just think they saw a little keen 17 year old coming and he was so happy to have the bodykit on that he overlooked the inconsistency in the paint.

I've had enough of this s**t!!!
Mooseman It's a work in progress. So the paint doesn't match perfectly. Looks ok to me considering how much he paid and the fact that the guy didn't have the whole car.
BTW how much painting have you done?
Cut the guy a break...my ute isn't the same colour all over...do I look like I give a s**t?
How abouts you post a pic of your car so we can pick holes in that? Now we wouldn't do that quite simply because if you ain't got a good comment make no comment..simple as that. People don't like my ute, I don't care, I like it and that's what matters and the same goes for Mongooses' car...if he's happy to drive a car like that than let him be.
As far as the EF GT comment went, I beleive you said it was an EF GT kit...don't think so...don't make em......

The google comment: all I got to say here is: NOT ANOTHER s**t THAT THINKS GOOGLE CAN'T BE WRONG...... RICE as far as anyone is concerned actually does stand for:
Race
Inspired
Cosmetic
Enhancement
Simple as that.....
You made your point in the first post, now let it lie.

LOL at arguing over definition of rice, this thread is f**k classic.
Bodykit = rice IMO, but each to his own.

Agreed....not a fan of body kits...falcons look great without them...the stock xr6 kit is ok on ef/el tho

Poor little doggy has some sand in his vagina.

1. I only referred to it as the EF GT kit because of the topic title. Its his kit so let him call it what I want.
2. I have my opinions and thats all they are. Take them with a grain of salt if you want but Im going to post them all day long.
3. I have done f**k all painting like I said before, literacy wasn't your strong point was it?
4. Im posting MY opinions, your the one stating things as facts which you can't possibly back up with references. Such as your "RICE as far as anyone is concerned actually does stand for:" quote, I guess im not included in "anyone"
5. I am more then happy for people to pick s**t at anything I do/say or have, because after all its just one persons opinion and shouldn't be taken with any weight at all.
6. You say only post if you got something good to say, if this forum was run by those rules then we would all be running around holding hands sucking each other off. Whats the point of opinions if people are going to sugar coat them?

Mongoose has taken my posts the right way, stating that if he is happy then thats all that matters which is true. Who are you to decide whether or not my opinion is correct?

I love blokes like you Dog, give me something to do when Im bored at work and such.
