BAD news. Well, lots of bad news actually. This is gonna' sound like some s**t out of a movie. I dunno what's happened, God must have it in for me. I'll start at the start....
1. I was parked on a main road for about 5 minutes the other day and the car was clipped. Only the mirror was broken but still, it p****d me off.

2.Then I went to an 18th and let my mate take my car for a drive, it came back with a broken front indicator and some light damage to the front bar. Apparently he'd parked it under a 4WD :?

3. Then this morning I woke up and found that someone had tried to break into the car during the night. They've dented my drivers door a bit and broken the lock. They obviously didn't get in coz' nothing was missing. I would have rathered they stole the whole car...

4. To top it off, I drove into a carpark today which was a bit too low and cracked my front bar badly. I'm f***ing annoyed to say the least.

I'll post some pics up later. I've already started fixing it all. As a result of this series of unfortunate events I've decided to keep the car and fix it up...

Front bar is thick enough as long as you don't go running into concrete stoppers. I'll show you the damage in a sec. It's not as bad as I made it sound but panel work is always expensive...

Some pics of the damage. The photos really don't look bad. The damage isn't really that bad I guess. But it is still costly to fix.

The white splodges are where I tried that "match you car's colour" paint. Doesn't work

*missing pics*

All the damage made me sad. So I fitted my twin tip... Now I'm happy again :D

Well my mate crashing my car probably wasn't such a bad thing. He felt so bad that he gave me $200 for the trouble. And anyone can see that there is quite clearly not $200 damage

See the pics there. He paid for all the damage and I got a resprayed front bar out of it so thats not too bad.

So seemings the old girl is gonna' be hanging around for a while longer I thought I'd start on the next thing I had planned to do. Finish off the interior!

I managed to pick up a set of Futura door trims off eBay nice and cheap. They're immaculate.

So I've started ripping them to pieces so I can re-trim and re-spray them properly. Then I'll do a straight swap over with my current door trims.

A few boring pictures below. I'm gonna' put the first coat of black on the doors themselves tomorrow then find out about re-trimming. Hopefully Ang is gonna' be giving me a hand.

I just re-read this... Funny story... Few months back I lent my car to my brother who's 25 and he returned it with a rub-mark down the drivers side... So I think what you should have said is, don't lend your car to ANYONE

haha yeh, but he has to qualify on 2 levels, brother AND being able to drive.

So I'm guessing your going to spray the trims black, what about the cloth inserts? retrim with black or something contrasting?

Brother can drive. b**ch who ran into him can't lol

I'm gonna make the interior match my steering wheel and shifter. Black and navy blue.

The vinyl and hard plastic will all be either sprayed or, where possible, re-trimmed in black. And the material, minus the seats will all be done in a nice royal or navy blue.

I got a guy (hopefully) who is going to do the seats for me once I've figured out what I want to do. I'm thinking of going for that racing seat look with the blue down the centre and black either side. Similar to the XR seats in the BA's...

Course I have. You show me where to find a set...? There aren't many around. And even If I did find a set I'd have to modify the bases to get them to fit in mine.
