My left headlight globe blew so I went all out and bought a whole new front light assembly + xenon white/blue performance globes. I also fitted a pair of s**t ebay driving lights. They're about as bright as a mobile phone screen but they look the part.

Also, for pure wank factor, I fitted a pair of those blue LED parkers. I don't know if I'll keep them. They were only $5.

Thanks buddy.

I try to get on as many cruises as I can but work keeps me away.

We just had a paintball day on the weekend just been.

You know, I'm pretty sure I bought a gunmetal grey bootlid off of you about a year ago.

As for the vinyl paint. So far I've only had the paint rub away slightly on the airbag where the horn buttons are.

Apart from that it's fine! Just make sure the surface is CLEAN! Or you'll find yourself painting it again a month later when you find the paint hasn't stuck properly.

It's been at least a week since I did anything to the car so I reckon it's time she got some attention!

I'm sick of my makeshift boot install that I whipped up in a matter of hours so I'm building myself a brand new one!

Same amps, Response 4x100wrms and Response 1x820wrms.

New sub... Soundstream Tarantula T4 12" sub. Rated at 900wrms and built for SPL. 200oz magnet and runs twin 1.3ohm voice coils so it can run at a true 1ohm load when wired in parallel.

Custom built ported box. Roughly 45ltrs. Tuned to about 31Hz.

And a pair of 6x9" speakers just so I can hear the mix when the boot in open.

New new build is not going to be too fancy, very similar to my current one, just neater and more compact/practical. I can't get my bass guitar in there!!

Will keep informed. I will hopefully be making a start next week.

Was mainly just chuffed that I got the new sub! Only payed $310 too as it was floor stock :D

Also... My right rear shocker has packed up... It sounds like there's a guy with a hammer in there bashing the crap out of my wheel arch!

So new KYB short stroke shockers will be going in very shortly.

1.3//1.3 = 0.65ohm

That's in theory... But the reality of voice coils is that twin 2ohm (which are meant to run at 1ohm when wired in parallel [2*2/2+2 = 1]) only truly run at about 1.33ohm because of various tolerances.

So in order to get a true, accurate 1ohm stable load, you need twin 1.33ohm voice coils.

Thought I'd dig this up... Car has been at the panel beaters for the past two weeks to get the following done...

- Original bootlid fitted, holes welded/bogged up and resprayed.
- Side skirts mounted correctly. (They were sagging a little on one side)
- Front bar rubbed back, cracks fixed, sanded, etc, to fit perfectly and resprayed.
- Dent on rear quarter panel from an Asian cyclist fixed.
- Damage caused to the panel surrounding the drivers handle from an attempted break in fixed.
- Fading on front passenger pillar resprayed.
- Spot where bird crap lifted the paint on the roof fix.
- Dent on roof fixed.
- Roof resprayed.
- Rubber sounding rear windows (usual fading) rubbed back and resprayed in black.

Quite a substantial list there! But not a substantial price :)

I'm looking forward to getting it back. Dropped in there tonight after uni to see the progress and they're going to start rubbing it back tomorrow. So will hopefully be done be Monday next week.

Meanwhile, I've bought myself a BA air intake, AU Tickford snorkel and a few little interior goodies like a trip computer, just for kicks. That will keep me from going mad with all this uni work.

Watch this space!!!

Yeh man... I definitely want the stereo surround. I'll see about the parcel shelf.

Only problem atm is that I don't have my car!

You mind hanging onto it for a few more days?
