Well I thought it was exciting!

They're custom made Recaros to suit my interior. The logos are the same GT-6 logos I designed for my instrument cluster.

The seats I've got at the moment are still the original Futura seats with a set of those ebay seat overs on them.

They look great but don't offer the support that a set of these bad boys will

$600 for a pair posted. Not bad if you ask me considering a normal set of sports seats will set you back a minimum of $600 a pair.

I got them from a mob called JTM Auto in NSW.

Lol i thought they may have just been some sports seats recovered in matching colours with the GT-^ stitching added into the mix. Didnt realise they were Recaros though, bloody good price for custom made Recaro's, they usually cost a fair bit

Well I'm told that they're recaro bases that get re-trimmed in house... I choose to believe what they say :D

Lol even if they werent, they still look f**k mint

Those should keep you tucked into the seat a whole lot better than futura seats. Look foward to seeing them fitted up

Not as much as I'm looking forward to getting them in.

Very sick of uni. Can't wait to spend some time on the car.

Arrived today.

Generally happy with them.

Just a little disappointed that the blue is a little brighter than my current blue...

Seats look pretty bloody horn mate

Nice and sporty. Even if the colour is a little off, should still look sweet when fitted up

A little update today... Started the arduous task of fitting up the seats...

Didn't get overly far... Took me half the day to find somewhere that sold a T50 Torx bit that wouldn't send me broke!

Got my drivers seat out and then pondered over how I was going to go about fitting the new seat...........................

Why did I start with my drivers seat?!!! I can't drive the bloody thing until it's finished now!

I ended up pulling my original seat to pieces to see if there was any concievable way of mounting the new seats to the old rails....... There wasn't... not without lots of mangling anyway...

SO!!! I've very carefully cut the mounting points off of the bottom of the old seat rails and I'm going to weld two 6-8mm thick 75-80mm wide pieces of flat steel running front-to-back to the original mounting points to create a sort of level area and then bolt the new seat rails to that!

Will post some pics tomorrow assuming it all works out!

For now here's some pics of the drivers seat just balancing on top of the original mounting points.... A beautiful fit...

Here's what a drivers' seat looks like in pieces!

Also, here's a pic of a little mod I did a while back... A 2 channel amp that's wired up to the 6x9's in the boot and turns on whenever I open the boot... The blue ring lights up :P

FINALLY!!!

I'm selling my very muchly loved XD Wagon...

Have a look if you're interested...
