I simply cut little bit of masking tape to cover the buttons... I didnt paint them as they're already basically black. The light switch I just painted straight over everything after wet rubbing it with some 1500. The air con panel I painted everything except the darker grey area around the dials.

The Jaycar 6x9" rear speakers are going! Anyone want them along with the spacers? Cost me $60 for the lot brand new. You can find specs on the jaycar website... Would only want like $40 for them with the spacers...

I'm putting the same speakers in the rear as I bought for the front I reckon... I was heaps impressed with how they sounded. I swear they put out more mid than the 6x9"s

Firstly they're for an AU so you will need hub adaptors... not spacers, hub adabtors... to fit them. They look nice and all but unless you can find them in the E-series offset then I really don't recommend getting them as running spacers or hub adaptors cause all sorts of little problems.

That said... They're CSA 17" blah blahs... :P yeh... that's right, I've forgotten the name of them... mental blank... I'll find out for you though... give me a couple of days... They're a discontinued model from CSA so you would only be able to buy them second hand.

Well I got some of the spray... works nicely, I got charcoal which is a shade or so darker than the orig, but I think i'll go for 'satan' black aswell..

The in between color will help create some transitions.

Thanks for that man... Mate of mine at Bob Janes' told me that when he did my wheel allignment and ballancing. I remember now.
I bought the kit directly off of Peter Haines in NSW, same guy Hyena got his off of. It cost me $1450 posted. Only problem is that apparently it does not come with any mounting bars or anything so fitting the thing is going to require a fair bit of d**k around. His number is 0402064444. Give him a call and tell him what your after... His kits are cheap, apparently they fit and are good quality. Ask Hyena as his kit is basically the same and he got it off of the same guy.

Ok! Audio gear is complete... This is how it ended up and what I payed for each...

Soundstream XST6.5 3-ways - $100
Image

JVC CS-FX602 Carbon Fibire 2-ways - swapped my spare sub worth around $80 for them :)
Image

Response AA0426 4x100WRMS - $170
Image

Response AA0428 820WRMS MonoBlock - $260
Image

What everyone think??? Pretty damn good dealing if you ask me :D 8-)

Only crappy thing is I've got NO idea when I'll be able to fit it all... Probably won't be until after exams :( Oh well...

Already got a sub. A 1000WRMS eBay job. It pumps hard (when it's in a box) at the moment it's sort of a free to air sub until I modify my box properly to go with my new boot install. I would have bought all Soundstream stuff as I love it but all the bits and pieces came along and I couldnt say no for the price. Besides, Response make some sick as amps for the cost. And the brushed aluminium will look awesome under my blue neon in the boot :P

Well guys... My body kit has FINALLY arrived. It seems like it's all going to fit up alright. And I've decided to fit the whole lot. May as well. Sadly, with goddamn school work and my job I don't think I'm going to get around to fitting and painting it until school holidays. :( Besides I still need to finish up my stereo with all my new gear. That's a lot smaller job :D

Here's a few pics of all the bits and pieces minus the side skirts and door moulds... The pics were taken in bad light and I accidentally had the camera on the wrong setting...

Front bar... For some reason he sent me the front bar without the grill attached... He reckons that's what you need for a Futura... we'll see I guess...

Rear bar...

Rear wing... I like the look of this now :D

Bonnet scoop...

In other news... I took a quick picture of my new stereo equipment minus the 4-channel amp which is on it's way from W.A. ... Don't anyone comment on my floor mat...

*missing image*

And finally... Here's my awesome Dad assessing the freight damage on yet another eBay generator...

*missing image*

I know none of this has anything to do with interior modifications but this is now my progress thread so oh well...

Will post up pics as soon as I get my stereo gear in :D Hopefully in the next couple of weeks...
