Welcome to Fordmods.

Looks like you have made a good start on modding your ED.

Planned mods are sensible, although personally I don't think bigger than 17s suit EA-EDs.

Looking forward to the next update.

Cheers
BenJ

im thinking about painting the engine bay black with a gloss and all the metal work behind the bumper and lights just to make it look a lil cleaner.

can someone give me some pointers at doing this?

If the engine is painted right & tarted up enough, like polished bits as you have, and some nice braided hoses, maybe a few bits painted as well, a black engine bay could look the goods. It would take a lot of work to strip a fair bit out of it & to mask up the rest so you could paint it.

Sounds like you have some good plans for the car, a nicely modded car starts with good plans.

Cheers

ive done a fair bit off painting cars before so the time doesnt bother me and i have alot of time on my hands these days so that doesnt bother me either.is it possible to paint the engine block if so what colour would make it look good? i also plan on hiding all the wires and neatening up the engine bay so thats there less clutter in there and even trying to find or build a polished cover plate to go over the radiator.

so thats the plan for the engine bay for now.
at the moment there is no plan on doing bodykits just colourcode the bumpers and moulds and lower it to make it look sleeper-like.
Engine wise is good for now just needs a good tune because its a bit slow on takeoff and flatfooted and idles go a lil strange every now and then.
As for audio i plan on getting the parcel shelf fitted with new 6" speakers as well as doors, in the boot will be 2x10" and a 12" 2 amps and a capacitor for safe measures all done in a custom boot install with plexi-glass and lights.

Thats it for now anyway.
cheers

hey guys i havent updated this in a while and thought i should.

Ive lowered it with superlows all round sits just the way i want nice n low. Ive also got 18"s filling my arches just nicely.

As body goes, its got ea guards, EF door handles, EF mirrors and a lil mod im doing at the moment and is still going shaving the top indent out of the bodywork.

As engine mods go i now have a full aftermarket exhaust lukey 2.5inch catback 3inch dump tip with pacemaker 4499s and a wade 1636 cam just needs a tune now and a dyno run.

Mods to go on now are just thermo fans, stage 2 adjustable shift kit and transmission cooler.

A big mod id like to do in the future is install a EL xr6 engine bigger cam and extractors, paint the engine bay and a boot install as ive taken my sub and amp out due to the amp stopped working.

I think thats it for now so ill just upload some picatures for you all to gawk at ( just a reminder its half in primer)

cheers

I will hopefully have a full nolathane bush kit coming for this in the next couple of weeks.

I'm also planning a new motor for the car, going towards a V8 to change things up a bit, plus a engine bay respray.

Not much of an update but its something

I think he was referring to the 5 posts in 3 yrs.. :) I like how you smoothed the rear, it's sometimes the little things that make a striking difference. And how did you do the roof?
