hit a spot of badluck today, drivin home, pulled up out at the road to check the mail, went to drive off and the car had stalled, went to restart it, got a nice slow wind but nothing else, then i notice smoke woofting past out of the engin bay this isn't good, open the bonnet and see oil splashed all over the extractors, apears my timming cover gasket has blown :\

walked up to the house got in my brothers ef and went out to the servo and get a few things while i let the car cool, got home and hit the key on the el and it started so i drove it up to the house and it can stay there till i can pull it apart and change a couple of gaskets on it,

also the head gasket on my rm has blown too, more f**k money to spend :x

This is the best, THE BEST news i have ever heard in my whole life. Oh, I'm Mitch, My EL is so perfect, Codys XG is a heap of crap. WELL, now the shoe is on the other foot. NOW whos car is down and out. How sad, your EL has failed you mechanically. My XG has NEVER failed mechanically and its done more ks than yours, and it has never been looked after...

(people that read this... Me and Mitch have this joke going on about who's car is best, nothing serious is being said, all jokes haha)

so this is the plan now,

today i'm doing the wheel bearings and the exhaust on my brothers ef, new brake rotors and padds too, and i'll drive the wagon until the supermont has been fixed. Unsure what i'm going to do after an inspection this morning seems it's the sump thats blown and not the timming gasket, how ever why would this cause my car to cut out and not want to start?

put the new exhaust and brakes on the wagon today, revs out so much better with out the hole in the exhaust, and no more grinding noise from the bearings is always good to, the breaks feel firm and stop with ease, no burnouts where done cause i'm a good boy

The Aussie icon killed my front end, kangaroos are a pest down this way anyway, but the XG still kept going even with a dead front end and i was able to drive it home... slowly

Qld Roos are dumb as dog s**t, if they are on the left they want to run away to the right and vice versa. As soon as you hit the NSW boarder, they get a few more brain cells happening and at least run away in the correct direction.
Although I must say, from experience, black cows and pigs are worse then Roos... :/
