I know what you meant.
Don't mod things for the sake of just changing it. By removing the door mould you will just make it look a GLi with unfinished doors. It is a Ghia. Be proud of the things that make it a Ghia. In the end it is your car, but listen to those of us who have seen a fair bit more than you have, and consider what we say. Cheers BenJ

yeah, the plan was to do it on spare doors so if it didn't look right could always take em off and sell em to someone that doesn't know much about e series

Not a bad pickup.
I agree that cappa sucks dogs nuts. If you are painting dash facias get other ones and paintthem DO NOT paint the cappa ones. People will give you silly money for them that can be fed back into other work on the car.

anyone know what could cause the windows to be slow/not going up with out help in certain places atm the drivers door is stuck down so i've covered it up with a bbq cover for the night, all 4 windows seem to do it and the front one will move a little bit up and down but i'm thinking switches cause when it stops the motor doesn't make a noise

The window channels will be dry.
Grab a can of spray silicone and lube the f**k right up. It will take a couple of days for them to come good but then they will be fine.

Stay away from cheap Supercheap car covers, they don't fit firm and rub the edges of the car, causing paint work to be rubbed right off.
